Spruce Beach Cottage - Walk to beach

Summary:

Enjoy the charm that Spruce Cottage brings to the quaint town of Aptos. We are a short 10 min walk to Seacliff State Beach through a secret pathway. View the landmark S. S. Palo Alto cement ship, picnic on the beach, or dip in the ocean. Our cottage offers comfort with a beachy feel. We take great care in the comfort and safety of our guests. Our home is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each guest. We look forward to hosting you!



The Space:

Enjoy our State Park/Beach Pass during your stay. Visit the Elephant Seals at Ano Nuevo State Beach. The well-landscaped backyard is a perfect place to bbq and relax.



The house is well equipped with everything that you will need to have a comfortable home away from home. Sleep well on either one of the king-sized Tuft and Needle adaptive foam mattresses. In the living room, you will find a Roku 4K UHD TV so you can catch up on all your favorite Netflix or Amazon shows. There are many apps to choose from for your viewing pleasure. The kitchen is fully loaded with cooking supplies so you can enjoy making a delicious home-cooked meal. Please note that there isn't a dishwasher in the house. It is listed in our amenities section and we cannot remove it.



We have a State Park pass that you are welcome to enjoy while you are visiting. There are several state beaches and state parks to enjoy and explore. From beach enjoyment to hiking. Your choices are endless. There is a $120 charge if the pass is not returned. This is so we can continue to offer it to our guests. Thank you!



The Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary beckons with sea life and adventures. You can join a whale watching cruise, rent a stand-up-paddle board or kayak, or take a surfing class...all nearby.



Trails for hiking and mountain biking surround the area, including Nisene Marks State Park.



Stroll through nearby Aptos village to enjoy dining and shopping a short drive away. Enjoy wonderful dining experiences at nearby restaurants such as Manuel’s Mexican Restaurant, and Cafe Sparrow in downtown Aptos. Treat yourself to dessert at Marianne’s Ice Cream! You can visit local wineries, and enjoy a scenic drive down the coast. Monterey’s Cannery Row and Monterey Bay Aquarium are 36 miles away, and Carmel is 39 miles. Take a trip through the 17-mile drive, then head back to the cottage for a backyard BBQ.



Whether you want to explore and adventure, dine and shop, or simply relax in a quiet beach-town getaway, Spruce Cottage offers the ideal site from which to enjoy it.



Guest Access:

The house is yours to enjoy. We have a State Park pass that you are welcome to use while you are visiting. There are several state beaches and state parks to enjoy and explore.

Spruce Cottage is in the quaint town of Aptos, in the beach community of Seacliff. Seacliff State Beach is a 10-minute walk through a secret pathway. See the landmark S.S. Palo Alto cement ship and elephant seals at Nuevo Ano State Beach.

Other Things to Note:

The third bedroom is accessed via the master bedroom. Therefore guests in that room would access the bathroom and main house through the master bedroom. The third bedroom also has a door to access the back yard, in addition to backyard access from the kitchen area.
