Lovely, recently renovated apartment in 19th century villa, one of the five most beautiful streets of Amsterdam.
Great canalview, peaceful and quiet ... yet walking distance/around the corner from restaurants, bars, market, coffee shops, shops, the zoo and museums.

The location is very unique; according to "'undiscovered Amsterdam" it is one of the five most beautiful streets.
Situated in the east of the center of Amsterdam; 10 minutes bicycling or tram from Dam square. Bicycle rent just around the corner. Car parking nearby. Tram around the corner. Very close to the center, yet still the real Amsterdam ...
Very suitable for a longer stay or a trip with family or friends, or just a short visit.

The apartment is on the top floor of the villa (2 stairs up) and has a really magnificant view on the canal.
It consists of two rooms that can be paid individually or together.
Both rooms are nicely decorated and have two separate luxurious beds; each room with a bathroom and toilet.
The apartment has access to a fully equipped kitchen (stove, cooker, dryer, dishwasher, fridge, washing machine).
We love it, and hope you will too !!

Lovely stay in Amsterdam

Apartment with two large en suite bedrooms, and a small, well equipped kitchen with a washer and dryer! Beware the very steep, long stairs (typical of Amsterdam) ā€“ Wessel's son was kind enough to help us get our luggage up them. Host was super friendly and accommodating, great communication and suggestions. Convenient, safe location with easy access to trams, and lots of places for food and shopping nearby. Definitely recommend!

Great location! Quiet and very comfortable apartment. The host was super helpful and friendly. Note that street parking is not an option as it is very expensive. But there is a nice garage close by for a little over 20 a day that is safe and secure.

Great Place to Explore Amsterdam

Cute and comfortable home base for exploring Amsterdam. Everything we needed was close by: market, train stop, nice restaurants. The apartment was really well located. We were able to take the train into all parts of the city and then easily return for the evening in a quiet and picturesque part of town. The apartment has nice windows for both bedrooms, with one overlooking the canal. The kitchen was nicely appointed and had a washer/dryer, which was helpful. There is a small couch and dining table, but they are located in the front bedroom, which still worked for us. The stairs to the apartment are very steep (as seems to be the case in these Amsterdam buildings) but Wessel sent his lovely son and daughter to help us with our luggage up and down the stairs. Wessel was super responsive to all my questions and took great care of us. I would stay here again!!!

Perfect for our Needs

Property is a typical Amsterdam townhouse with narrow steep steps. However, once you are settled in your space it is a wonderful apartment. The owner's daughter received us and even helped with carrying our luggage up the steps. We all observed how easy it was for her and we were impressed! The apartment is lovely and the owners' stocked the kitchen with eggs and other items including Heinekens. The location is close to public transportation and many restaurants. We loved our stay in this property and the steps were not a problem for us but should be kept in mind if you have oversized luggage or mobility issues.

Geheimtipp - Super Wohnung in ruhiger Gegend!

Wir waren vier Tage in Amsterdam und kƶnnen sowohl die Unterkunft als auch die Gastgeber nur wƤrmstens empfehlen. Wessel und HĆ©lenĆØ sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und hervorragend ausgestattet. Im KĆ¼hlschrank standen bereits GetrƤnke, Eier und weitere Kleinigkeiten fĆ¼r uns bereit ā€“ sogar Kaffeepulver war vorhanden, ebenso wie alle notwendigen GerƤte wie Wasserkocher und Kaffeemaschine.Die Gegend, direkt an einem Kanal gelegen, ist sehr ruhig und wunderschƶn. Wir hatten FahrrƤder gemietet und waren damit in etwa 15 Minuten im Stadtzentrum von Amsterdam.Ein herzliches Dankeschƶn an Wessel und HĆ©lenĆØ ā€“ es war ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt!Liebe GrĆ¼ĆŸe,Thomas und Familie

Our host met us and gave us a tour. He was very accommodating and helpful. Carried our luggage up the stairs. Place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The windows covered one wall and had a great view. The kitchen even had a few things stocked for us. Overall, they were very thoughtful and made our stay nice. The two separate bedrooms, with each their own bathroom, made it very pleasant. One thing to note is that there is no elevator and it is two steep flights of stairs up so if you have mobility issues, this would be Difficult however we were fine.

Perfect spot for our vacation

The apartment is wonderful! So nice to have a 2bed/2bath with a well stocked kitchen on a quiet, lovely canal street. There were some eggs, butter, soda & beer in the little fridge along with some condiments which was so kind of Wessel. Also, coffee, tea & some spices were also provided. There was even laundry soap for the washer! It would've been nice to have some paper towels though. There are restaurants & shops so close to the apartment, within a 2-4 minute walk. We did walk to a couple of museums & dam sqaure, it was between 2-3 miles, but taking the tram was easy enough as well & close by. The only thing I would suggest is to place a curtain on the window above the door to the front bedroom (canal side). There were a couple nights when someone left the staircase light on overnight & it shines right through the window by the apartment entry door & right into the front bedroom window above that door. I would definitely stay at Wessel & Helene's apartment again!!

Perfect place for exploring Amsterdam

We loved our stay. The accommodation had everything we needed and more. The location was great as we could walk into centre to enjoy seeing the sights, yet return in evening to a beautifully quiet location. We enjoyed drinking tea in the mornings while enjoying the locals stroll along the canal. The hosts were helpful, friendly and excellent communicators.

We had a great time in Amsterdam. Wessels place is a nice spot for families, outside of the main hustle and bustle but easy enough to get in via tram - especially the zoo.We got a great view of fireworks over the canal from the top floor windows.

Fabulous Amsterdam

Wonderful hosts. Helped find a Dr. when we showed up sick and it turned out to be a very quick and easy Dr. office to go to. Helped with bags and left lots of necessities in the fridge. got back to us really quickly with any questions. Lovely view of the canal. I always wanted to stay on a canal. Grocery stores and tram lines are close. Lovely and interesting city.

A Great Choice

Warm welcome to a beautiful two bedroom apartment that was comfortable, well equipped and with a beautiful view overlooking a canal in the front and garden in the back. It is located close to restaurants and we also walked into downtown. The host met us and was easily available if needed. It is at the top of the house and therefore 3 flights of stairs. Would recommend apartment and host.

Amsterdam Dream

The host was very responsive and offered us a home away from home. Extra things were left in the fridge, the kitchen is very well-equipped. The location is spectacular, we used public transportation for easy access to all major areas we wanted to explore. Restaurants and stores are close by that made everything so accessible. Many small touches were added to the apartment that made it feel so comfortable. When we had questions, Wessel was always helpful with tips and answers. When we return to Amsterdam, this is the top choice of place and host!! 10 out of 10 - easy!!

GemĆ¼tliches Apartment

Das gemĆ¼tliche Apartment hat eine direkte Aussicht auf die Gracht, was wirklich schƶn und gleichzeitig sehr ruhig war. Die Verkehrsanbindung zum Zentrum war ebenfalls hervorragend und fuƟlƤufig innerhalb von 3 Minuten erreichbar. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und haben fĆ¼r alles Notwendige und darĆ¼ber hinaus gesorgt? Sogar der KĆ¼hlschrank war etwas gefĆ¼llt. Vielen Dank nochmal dafĆ¼r! In Summe haben wir uns sehr wohl gefĆ¼hlt.
