Otto’s Food Cart (in Alma, a 5-minute drive from the cabin) for sandwiches with a view, and they offer gluten-free options!

The Black Kettle Coffee shop is the BEST coffee around. You must stop in for an Americano or Cortado - Mike is the owner, he is awesome!

Breckenridge (20 min drive) offers everything from sushi to tacos to fine dining, plus charming mountain town shopping

There is a lock located on both the front and the back door for ease of access. You’ll receive a unique door code before arrival, so you can check in at your own pace, even if you roll in after dark.

🚗 Parking Info
There’s room for 4 vehicles right in the driveway, and since it’s a mountain town, it's not suggested to park on the street. We highly encourage you to lock your doors - the bears have been known to pay visits to vehicles during the night. If you're visiting during winter, remember this is snow country—park close, drive safely, and check road conditions before you travel.

🛒 Grocery Tip
If you’re stocking up before heading up the mountain from Denver, there’s a King Soopers, Natural Grocers, and Safeway in Conifer off of Hwy 285. We suggest you stop there - there are no other grocery retailers once you pass Conifer. If you’re coming through Breckenridge, you can hit up Safeway or Breckenridge Market & Liquor. Just a heads up: we don’t have grocery delivery or Uber up here, so plan accordingly! We do have a small grocery store in Alma called Al-Mart, they are local, but their stock is limited.

🚗 Getting Around
Alma is a small, mountain town with no Uber or Lyft, so having a car is essential. 4WD is recommended in the winter months — snow can show up uninvited, even in spring and fall.

🌨️ Alpine Weather Reminder
You’re in a true alpine climate—meaning snow, sunshine, and a little “what the heck?” weather can all happen in one day. Check the forecast, dress in layers, and always bring your sense of adventure.

To keep the cabin clean and cozy, we ask guests to remove shoes inside. There’s plenty of space by the entry for boots, hiking gear, and all the mountain essentials.

Trash will be picked up once you check out of the cabin. Please tie up all trash bags and place them in the bear-proof receptacle out back prior to leaving.

📹 Safety First
We have exterior security cameras for your safety. There are absolutely no cameras inside the home. We also have a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink cabinet if you should need it.

🚭 No Smoking
This is a strictly smoke-free property—no cigarettes, vapes, or cannabis indoors or anywhere on the property. Breaking this rule results in a $1,000 fine (and some major bad juju).

🐾 Pet Policy
We love furry companions, but pets are considered on a case-by-case basis. We allow one pet per stay and no pets over 50 pounds. A pet fee of $150 applies. Message us before booking!

⏰ Check-Out Policy
Unapproved late check-outs = a $500 fee or 20% of your total stay, whichever is greater. We totally understand travel hiccups—just give us a heads up if something comes up!
