Escondido no final de uma rua na aldeia tranquila de Tothill, The Old Rectory Cottage é um ótimo lugar para simplesmente relaxar e descontrair. Situado a 7 milhas a leste da cidade mercantil georgiana de Louth, e menos de 10 milhas para a costa e quilômetros de praias arenosas intocadas. Há grandes caminhadas e ciclovias da porta com um pub a apenas uma milha a pé que serve boa comida e bebida, bem como uma loja local. Visite Louth com suas muitas lojas, restaurantes e pubs ou até mesmo navegue pelo mercado realizado 3 dias por semana. Por dias fora, siga para a costa e os resorts tradicionais de Mablethorpe e Skegness para o leste ou dirija-se para oeste em direção à catedral da cidade de Lincoln, também famosa por seu castelo e pelo novo Centro de Visitantes da Magna Carta. Perto Woodthorpe tem um campo de golfe de 18 buracos, driving range e pesca grossa, bem como um grande centro de jardim com um restaurante. Praia 8 milhas. Loja, pub e restaurante 1 milha.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable & relaxing stay at the Old Rectory Cottage.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable & relaxing stay at the Old Rectory Cottage. It was everything we were hoping for - a well-equipped, cosy & spotlessly clean accommodation in a peaceful & secluded location. The cottage was decorated for Christmas, which brought some festive cheer & added to the overall experience. There is easy access to the delightful towns of Horncastle & Louth, as well as to the coast with its long sandy beaches, which we explored on a crisp, sunny day. I look forward to staying there again before too long!

An absolute gem of a stay.

An absolute gem of a stay. This beautiful house is well equipped, warm, with excellent showers/hot water, but best of all, SO CLEAN! the cleanest self catering I’ve ever stayed in. Mrs Glew is a lovely host. I only marked down local amenities because the hamlet is so remote but IMO that is a good thing, and just what we wanted. I’m already planning to return twice in 2025 and I can’t wait.

Beautiful cottage in a tiny hamlet, although Louth isn’t far which is a lovely market town with lots of lovely pubs and restaurants! The cottage itself is spotless and very well equipped for self catering! The log burner was great as the weather was chilly when we were there! The owner was very friendly and made sure we had plenty of logs for the fire! The addition of a washing machine would be very welcome especially if visiting with children, although we managed fine whilst there! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would love to stay again next year!

Beautifully decorated cottage. Large living area. Poor phone and internet as it’s remote location. Tv quite a long way from main sofa. Excellent property.

Excellent property. The location is quite remote but ideal if you want a quiet few days. However Louth and Maplethorpe are not too far away. It is perfect for two couples as it's got two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Everything in the cottage including the fittings is to a very high standard and is spotlessly clean. A excellent find which we will return to. The only minor irritation is there seems an issue with house flies which could be annoying. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The cottage was beautifully clean, well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed some fine weather and with the numerous Tilt/Turn doors and windows we had that fresh out-door feel of camping, but with all the luxuries and comfort of being in a lovely cottage. Tothill itself is only a tiny village and it is so quiet that the only thing we heard for most of the time was the singing of the birds. Recommended for anyone who enjoys the simple pleasures of life. As we had warm weather, a lighter weight duvet would have been more comfortable for us. Although there was heating we had no control of this and at times was very hot especially at night. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed are break and the peaceful surroundings. Overall we had a very pleasant stay in a quiet and comfortable rural environment.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay in a quiet and comfortable rural environment. We felt very safe with the precautions taken. A well appointed and comfortable cottage with small garden and 2 patios, only one patio with seating. All the rooms were large. Both bedrooms would benefit from having a chair and perhaps a grab rail in the en-suite shower. A 9-30 departure would give more time for breakfast and also strip the beds as requested.
