"Loved the location of this house - quick drives to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Mackinac. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Access to the beach was a 2 minute walk, and was worth every step up and down the driveway…we had the entire beach to ourselves and it was beautiful! Also loved all of the extras that were already there and we didn’t have to pack - beach chairs, wagon for towing to the beach, fans, etc. "

"The house is nicely appointed and clean. I was very impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was with cooking utensils, pots/pans, even a crockpot and insta-pot! Never saw that in a VRBO before! The grounds are beautiful and well kept and the area is very peaceful. However, the area near the dock is not good for swimming as described in the property overview. You sink mid-calf in silt and we lost a pair of water shoes as a result. Pioneer Park across the lake is better for swimming and is a...

"Not the best driveway if you have a bass boat and trailer to back up but the listing is accurate, the host was pleasant, the house was clean. No complaints."

"We all (wife and two friends) had a great stay at the Mackinaw House. Rooms and living areas were all clean and well supplied. Especially enjoyed the privacy of our little stretch of the Lake Huron shore for cookouts and stargazing. Would gladly return or recommend the house to any future guests."
