"Great Breakfast Lots of whisky choices at bar Staff all v helpful"

"The Craiglynne Hotel has a lovely exterior and attractive grounds, which gave us a positive first impression. Unfortunately, the inside of the hotel did not live up to that impression. The property felt tired and not particularly well maintained. My room had extremely squeaky floors, and I could clearly hear movement from neighboring rooms, making it difficult to relax. My mother-in-law’s room had a broken shower door, and after we left, she mentioned that her bed sheets appeared dirty....

"This was a perfect guest house for us to use as a home base to enjoy the Speyside area. Food was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were also very friendly. "

"The Cairn Hotel is a lovely hotel in a great location, with friendly and helpful staff throughout my stay. Whilst my room wasn’t en-suite, my private toilet was 2 steps across the corridor - not big deal, but remember your key otherwise you're locked out of your room Dinner was excellent from a well appointed menu, I had the haggis lasagne which was very well presented, generously portioned, and served efficiently. The bar is adjacent and is very well stocked with a good selection of wines,...

"On the main road through Aviemore . Not noisy and enough parking off road. Room number one is very small with just enough room to manoeuvre around double bed. Small bathroom with shower. Bathroom all in black with small spotlights. This room was very disappointing as it was so small. Only a kettle and sink, no toaster. Not enough room for two adults and two dogs. There were two chairs at the bottom of the bed to watch TV both in poor condition. Photos of the property do not reflect how small...

"Great stay. Perfect location and lots of nice touches in the room."

"The location is good. With trailheads within walking distance. They’ve tried to automate processes that either don’t work or are useless. For example the automated car registration didn’t help them notify me that my car would be blocked for a morning while heavy equipment was being moved in. Free WiFi means no useable WiFi. They did upgrade my WiFi service but should just ditch the ‘free’ version. The staff are multitasking leaving people waiting for services. Hats off to them."

"Die riesige Anlage besteht aus mehreren Hotels, Schwimmbad, Restaurants und sogar einer Einlaufhalle. Etwas altmodisch, aber recht angenehm. Das Ortszentrum kann circa 15 Minuten zu Fuss erreicht werden. Das italienische Restaurant hat uns nicht begeistert. "

"The rooms and toilets are quite small, and WiFi is a disaster. Staff, in general, look underprepared. Fortunately, sympathy improved with time. The food was good. It has a public charging point for electric or plug-in hybrid cars."

"Tombeck was nice, roomy, comfortable. Had a large kitchen fully stocked with cookware, oven, stove, kettle, microwave. We liked the large wooden dining table. A great place from which to explore Tomintoul and the Cairngorms. Also has a washing machine and dryer, but no instructions so took some time to figure them out (and the washing machine makes a loud noise and really shakes while running)."

"easy to find close to everything. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived, with lovely little additions such as milk, wine, and biscuits. The drive was gritted which helped so much as we arrived during the heavy snow in November. Great communication from start to finish and always there if anything was needed. Would highly recommend."
