From the moment you arrive on this property situated on 5 acres of open land dotted with the city’s eponymous Joshua Trees, you’ll feel your troubles melt away. Things only get better when you step through the doors to see where you’ll be sleeping.

All three spacious bedrooms are furnished with luxurious Casper original hybrid mattresses, fresh linens, and thick black-out curtains to guarantee a great night’s sleep.

The primary bedroom has an impressive four-poster California king bed, a reading chair, and a private ensuite bathroom. Large windows frame the bed, letting the desert sunshine flood in to brighten up the space.

The second and third bedrooms each feature a queen-sized bed, a ceiling fan, and large windows that let you enjoy the desert scenery from the comfort of your room.

This beautiful home has two full bathrooms with thoughtful decor and soothing houseplants. They are each stocked with fresh towels and Public Goods toiletries for your convenience.

The master ensuite bathroom features a spacious double vanity, a walk-in shower, and a separate soaking tub. The second bathroom has a shower/tub combo.

The chef of your group is sure to appreciate the modern kitchen. The spacious countertops are perfect for preparing and serving, or for keeping the cook company at the two counter stools. You’ll find all the basic cookware and utensils necessary for cooking tasty meals for the whole group. Lovely touches like the reclaimed oak shelving give the space a rustic feel.

Cozy up in the corner breakfast nook, enjoy meals at the long dining table, or head out to the deck and eat at the outdoor dining table while enjoying the desert views and fresh air. If you prefer dining out, you’re just a short drive from local restaurants like Pappy + Harriet’s.

In the mornings, use the Chemex or coffee machine to brew yourself a cup of coffee using the complimentary Joshua Tree coffee beans provided and head out to sip it while swaying in a hammock.

No peaceful desert retreat is complete without an amazing outdoor area. The home’s outside space offers up superb place to lounge in the pool by day and stargazing opportunities by night. Enjoy being far from the light pollution of the city by admiring the starry sky from the comfort of the hot tub and hammocks.

A large gas fire pit is an ideal place for your whole group to gather in the evening. During the day, you can enjoy the shaded outdoor dining and grilling area with views of the desert vegetation.

You'll have full access to the entire house and the front 2.5 acres of the property during your stay. This included the spacious outdoor area, hot tub, hammocks, fire pit, and more. Parking is available in front of the house.

We have another home (The Cryptic Cabin) on the opposite end of the property, in case you have a larger group and would like to book both. If so, please let us know!

Quiet neighborhood on the mesa in Yucca Valley. Most of our neighbors are on 2.5 to 5 acres as well so it's peaceful, quiet and calm desert escape.

DESERT LIFE: Part of the desert's magic is the wildlife. You may encounter wild rabbits, coyotes, mice, beetles, snakes, and spiders. This is their natural habitat, so please keep your distance. We also have Joshua Trees and cactus on the property so please be careful near them and wear shoes while outside.

WIFI/CELL SERVICE: There is full cell service and reliable WiFi at the property if you need to be connected.

SEWER: The house is on a septic system. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper.

EVENTS, PARTIES & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS:

Not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit, and additional fees.

QUIET HOURS: Yucca Valley is a serene place. While our neighbors aren't right on top of us, sound travels easily in the desert. Out of respect for them and the natural habitat, we ask that you please keep the noise level to a minimum after 10 PM.
