Snårestad is located just outside Wallanders Ystad, with stores and several nice restaurants both in the center and by the sea. The cottage is located 4 km from the sea in Mossby and Abbekås, where you will find a sandy beach and fishing opportunities. The beach stretches several kilometers in both directions. There are great opportunities for walking or cycling along the gravel roads in the area, on the South Coast Trail along the sea, on the boardwalks in Ystads Sandskog or in the beautiful alleys of Ystad.



You are also close to Ystad Zoo, where there is also a pool area and Mossbylund with SPA and good restaurant. Also worth seeing are Harbars harbor, Hammars Backar, Ale Stenar, Kåseberga with fish smokehouse and cozy cafes and Dag Hammarskiölds Backåkra and Österlen with many excursion destinations and farm stores.



For those who want to play golf, there is Ystad Golf Club in Nybrostrand and Abbekås Golf Club. From Svarte you can easily take the train to Ystad, Simrishamn, Malmö and Copenhagen. Near the cottage there are several castles you can cycle to, such as Marsvinsholm Castle with theater and beautiful park with exhibitions, Snogeholm Castle and Krageholm Castle. In Snogeholm and Krageholm there are also lakes with beautiful hiking trails and barbecue areas in several places.
