This courtyard-style apartment has been newly furnished to a high standard throughout, with thoughtful interiors designed to combine the character of the historic building with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find a stylish open-plan living area, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and a king-size sofa bed, making it ideal for city breaks, business stays, families, friends and group trips.



The apartment sleeps up to 6 guests, with two bedrooms and a super king-size sofa bed in the living area. The space has a calm, contemporary feel, with quality furnishings and a high-end finish that sits beautifully alongside the building’s original character and history.



The apartment also benefits from private courtyard-style outdoor space, perfect for a morning coffee, a relaxed drink after exploring York, or simply enjoying a quieter moment away from the city.



Preachers Yard is well placed for exploring York on foot, with York Minster, The Shambles, Stonegate, restaurants, bars, shops and city attractions all within easy reach.



There is no on-site parking included with the apartment, but there are multiple parking options available within a 5-10 minute walk. Guests are welcome to drop bags off at the property before parking.

The Space:

Courtyard 2 is a spacious two-bedroom apartment arranged entirely over one floor. It combines the character of Preachers Yard’s historic former chapel setting with comfortable, contemporary interiors.



The apartment includes an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, two separate bedrooms and one bathroom. The living room also has a super king-size sofa bed, allowing the apartment to accommodate up to six guests.



The kitchen is fully equipped for both short breaks and longer stays, with an oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster, cookware and dining essentials.



Guests also have their own private courtyard-style outdoor area, offering a quiet place to enjoy a morning coffee or relax after exploring York.



Guest Access:

Guests have private use of the entire apartment and its courtyard-style outdoor space.



Access is self check-in using a secure key box. Your check-in instructions and access code will be sent before arrival.



The apartment is reached through the shared entrance and courtyard area at Preachers Yard. There are no shared living spaces inside the apartment.



The Neighborhood:

Preachers Yard is located on Aldwark, in the historic centre of York. Although the apartment is within easy walking distance of the city’s main attractions, the immediate area is reasonably quiet for such a central location.



York Minster, The Shambles, Stonegate, the city walls, restaurants, cafés, bars and shops can all be reached on foot. The property is also well positioned for exploring York’s independent shops, museums and historic streets.



Getting Around:

Most of central York can be explored easily on foot from the apartment. York Minster and The Shambles are approximately a 5 to 10-minute walk away.



York Railway Station is around a 20-minute walk, or a short taxi journey, from Preachers Yard.



There is no private parking at the property, but several public car parks are available within approximately a 5 to 10-minute walk. Guests may stop briefly outside the property to unload luggage before moving their vehicle to a nearby car park.



Other Things to Note:

There is no allocated parking at Preachers Yard. Nearby public parking options will be provided with your arrival information.



The apartment can accommodate up to six guests using the sofa bed in the living area. Please ensure the correct number of guests is included in your reservation so that the appropriate bedding and towels can be prepared.



Preachers Yard contains four separate apartments. You may occasionally see other guests within the shared entrance or courtyard access areas, but Courtyard 2 and its outdoor space are for your private use.



As this is a character property within a converted historic building, some original features and variations in floor levels may be present.



Interaction with Guests:

The apartment offers self check-in, so you can arrive independently from the stated check-in time.



We will send full arrival instructions before your stay and are available by message should you need any help. We respect your privacy but will respond as quickly as possible if you have any questions or experience an issue during your stay.
