Stylishly presented and completely newly furnished throughout this beautiful one bedroom apartment makes a great choice for any stay in the city.

The fantastic location makes ideal for guests in York on either business or leisure. Whether you just want a central base to walk to the office or a great place to relax on the sofa and watch the river. If gazing out at the river is not your thing then don't worry, there's always the large LCD TV and DVD player to entertain you along with the large iPhone docking station for your tunes.

The kitchen comes with everything you'd expect like a dishwasher, washing machine etc. It also benefits from having solid wood worktops; an unusual feature in a city centre apartment. The property has a larger than average amount of storage space if needed.

The bedroom and bathroom are both presented excellently. The bathroom has been newly tiled and features a shower over the bath. The bedroom is tastefully presented and also has great river views.

The apartment features a very comfortable sofa bed in the lounge area to accommodate an extra guest if needed too.

This was a perfect vacation stay. Come home exhausted from a day of sightseeing and sit and relax watching the boats, kayaks, ducks and even an occasional swan go by. The location is minutes from attractions and restaurants. If you care to fix something to eat at home, the apartment is fully equipped. It was an enjoyable place to call home!

Perfect place to stay!

My husband and I spent four days in York earlier this month. When I am looking for an apartment, my most important criteria is location. Woodsmill Quay was absolutely perfect. Overlooks the River Ouse, which is beautiful at all times of year and situated between the Ouse and Skeldergate Bridges, which gave us quick access into the city center. Clean, secure, and had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Best location!

Excellent stay! Location is ideal - many evenings we sat and watched the activities across the river. Did the same in the early mornings. All attractions, restaurants are within walking distance. Safe and clean. Everything we needed. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful accommodation in the perfect spot

First let me say that the photos in this listing are EXACTLY true to the apartment. What you see here is what you will be getting. I felt like I had already been here when we arrived as the photos are so accurate. The location is perfect. You can walk to everything within the city walls - all of York's tourist attractions, local supermarkets and numerous restaurants. I loved the view of the river. It was great to watch the boats going up and down and the hustle and bustle of the bars on the other side. I was worried that they might be a bit noisy but did not disturb us at all. There were more little welcome touches in this apartment than I have ever come across before - fresh flowers, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, 3 types of biscuits, milk in the fridge, coffee pods for the coffee maker and even a bar of chocolate. There were plenty of cleaning products and cloths - I took the ones I brought with me back home! The information provided about the apartment was very detailed and the check in process was very easy. Just one tiny thing to note - there is no parking with this apartment. However, we were informed of this in advance and used a parking app to park our car for a week at a really good price. In summary - the perfect apartment in the perfect location and all at a great price. We had a wonderful time.

The apartment is a short easy walk from the train station. Communication with the property manager was excellent; prompt responses to a couple of questions we had. The property is close to York sights, good restaurants and to a Sainsbury Local if you’d like to buy your own groceries. A Marks and Spencer is not far across the Lower Ouse Bridge. The apartment is immaculate and well appointed. We’re very pleased to have spent a few nights here. And the view across the river is very pleasant.

Great apartment overlooking the river

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights. The location was excellent - an easy walk from the train station and an equally easy walk to all the York attractions. We loved sitting by the window and watching the pubs across the river and the boats going past. All basics provided and even the sofa bed was comfortable.

Highly recommended...

Just returned from an enjoyable time in York. Our apartment was bright, clean and very well-appointed and fully as described. Alison welcomed us in person and we settled in quickly. Late-night noise from bars across the Ouse is a factor which those seeking complete peace and solitude may wish to consider! However, the noise levels were not unacceptable to us.

Perfect. Clean, new, great location, nice view, attentive owners.

This apartment is located across the river from a bunch of bars, this was the only thing that made me slightly nervous about staying here. That said, even with the windows open you could barely hear any noise on a warm summer weekend tonight. This place was wonderful and we would absolutely stay there again. It was clean, nicely Furnished, fully equipped, and an historic building, and the owners were very attentive to our needs. The place is set up as a one bedroom, but our daughter was able to sleep in a comfortable pull out couch in the living room, this was much better than staying at a hotel. I highly recommend this apartment.
