A lovely little property, tucked out of the way 15 minutes walk from one of the gates to the city of York. We parked the car and then left it there. There were local buses but we didn't feel the need to use them. A very modern downstairs bathroom. The stairs were narrow but were aware of this in the comprehensive details. The host was very communicative and let us know all details in ample time. Thanks Angela (and John)

A perfect home base to discover York from.
In a nice quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of York, with ample parking. This lovingly maintained townhouse was the perfect starting point for our city trip to York. A 15 minute walk by some fine architecture takes you to the heart of the city. Perfect for a family getaway. The connecting walls are a bit thin however, so you there is no ABSOLUTE silence when the neighbours are home.

Absolutely lovely
The house is in a lovely quiet street and we easily found parking right outside. Good selection of local shops and takeaways a 2 min walk away. Walking into town took about 20 mins, but we were walking with my 10 year old. The decor is lovely; neutral and tasteful. Modern kitchen and bathroom that looked like new. We used the kitchen a lot; it had everything we needed to make lunches and dinners. The check-in process was so easy and the owner was very response to my messages. Loved the extra touches like books, games, and DVDs to use. We had a wonderful stay here!

Great stay!
We loved our stay! Everything was in walking distance and the home was so sweet and perfect for everything we needed. So many wonderful little touches that made this the perfect home away from home. All the amenities made us feel like we had absolutely everything we would ever need.

50th Birthday Weekend
A lovely place to stay to enjoy York. A lovely compact old style two up two down style terrace presented with a modern minimal interior design. Small kitchen and bathroom downstairs were perfect for us for the two days. Parking was safe and right outside. We spent most of the time wandering and exploring York.

Convient for city access
Located within a comfortable walk from York and all of its stunning attractions this small terrace house with very steep stairs to the bedrooms would suit many younger and more agile people. Cleanliness of the crockery left something to be desired so we redid a lot of it and left it way cleaner than we found it. Instructions on rubbish disposal leave a great deal to be desired .....how is a guest to know what Friday it is...rubbish or recycling? Luckily a neighbour came to our aid.

Average accommodation in York
Our family of four stayed 2 nights— a bit smaller than expected, with very steep stairs to the bedrooms. We opted to keep our luggage downstairs to avoid hauling suitcases up and downstairs. The apartment was clean and relatively quiet, and the pizza shop a block away saved us when we were tired from walking all day in town, and didn’t feel like walking the 15-20 minutes back into town. Basic accommodations if you don’t mind the stairs or tight kitchen.

Lovely house in a nice area with plenty of parking. Very clean with all the essentials you would need . Only about 15 minutes walk to the city so perfect really if you don't have a car. Great communication with Angela . Would definitely recommend.

Nice quiet flat
The flat was exceptionally clean throughout. The bath as well. The bedrooms were well laid out and comfortable. The neighborhood was clean and quiet. The grocery store was close. We had no problems with the stairs in the unit, but they should be a consideration for elderly or handicapped. It is approximately 7 tenths of a mile to the the train station and the old city entrance, but we are walkers and knew this beforehand. We actually enjoyed walking through the neighborhood. The walkway, bye the way, is well lit, and we felt safe. Overall we were quite happy with the flat and the location.

Wonderful stay in York
My two teenage daughters and I stayed here for three nights. It was perfect. Had everything we needed and was an easy stroll into the city centre. We hope to return to York one day and stay again.

Ideal property for family of 4. Good location for York town centre
This property was an ideal size for 2 adults and 2 children, it was very clean and had everything we needed. Lovely powerful shower and super soft towels :) The host was very helpful and responsive. The only issue we had was the foam mattresses and pillows, as we found these were not great quality and uncomfortable and, unfortunately, none of us slept the first night or very well on the 3rd night but we slept okay on the 2nd night as we were extremely exhausted. Its a shame as this was the only issue we had but we feel a good night sleep is very important when it comes to accommodation. It might be that we're not used to foam mattresses but this is our only issue with our stay.

Lovely quiet neighborhood.
As an American returning to York, I really enjoy this stay! It is a walk to get to bus stops, but neighborhood was very nice. Close to stores and take out pizza nearby. Would recommend!!

Lovely holiday let.
15 minutes walk into town but worth it. Nice quiet street. Few pubs on the way that were enticing and enjoyable. We had a Chinese takeaway around the corner which was amazing. Everything we needed for our 3 night stay in this cozy two bedroom terraced house, definitely book this again.

Ideal spot for a sunny girls’ weekend
My 22-year-old niece and I had a wonderful girls’ weekend in beautiful sunny York. The property was exactly as described and spotlessly clean. Easy to park outside and a nice level 15-min walk to the Minster. Very quiet, comfy beds, enormous bath and great power shower. Highly recommended. Thanks Angela.

idealer Ausgangspunkt für York und Umgebung
Die Unterkunft liegt in einem nördlichen Stadtteil von York in einem Reihenhaus. Zu Fuß ist man in ca. 15 Min. in der Stadt, für Ausflüge, z.B. in die North York Moors oder an die Ostküste, ist man schnell auf der Ringstraße und umgeht den Stadtverkehr. Parkplätze waren vor dem Haus regelmäßig vorhanden - außer, als einmal im nahen Stadion der Minstermen ein Fußballspiel lief. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für den täglichen Bedarf mit üppigen Öffnungszeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Haus selbst war sehr sauber und gemütlich. Es hat ein eigenes Esszimmer, das Wohnzimmer ist Durchgangsraum zu Küche und Bad und in das Obergeschoss. So macht es vielleicht einen weniger großzügigen Eindruck, als wenn sich bei gleicher Fläche Ess- und Wohnbereich in einem Raum befänden, ist aber völlig ausreichend. Von der Küche gelangt man ins Badezimmer und in den Hinterhof, der sich allerdings nicht zum gemütlichen Sitzen eignet. Die Ausstattung und Einrichtung sind geschmckvoll und wertig, für große Kochevents jedoch nicht ausgelegt, auch weil die Küche ziemlich schmal ist und der Platz am Herd für den Durchgangsverkehr zum Bad immer mal geräumt werden muss. (Kochen ist aber ohnehin nicht unser Lieblingshobby.) Es gibt eine Waschmaschine, einen Backofen und eine Microwelle, die Internetverbindung ist inklusive, gesichert und tadellos. Die Matratzen im Dopelbett hätten für uns gerne weniger weich sein dürfen, bei den beiden Einzelbetten gab es keine Probleme. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war reibungslos, die Kaution wurde umgehend zurückerstattet. Insgesamt: Eine hevorragende Unterkunft für einen kombinierten Städte-/ Umgebungstrip.

Great property within easy reach of city centre
The property was ideal for us and had everything we needed for our few days stay in York. Being within walking distance for the city centre, we were able to enjoy everything York has to offer - shops, plenty of eating places and most of all the history. The property is a small terraced house and can sleep up to six people. However, we were a party of three and I think realistically it would be comfortable for up to four people. Also, we didn't take our car but it looked like it would be difficult to park outside the house or anywhere in the street.

Lovely furnishings and nice touches. Great location.
This traditional style house is approx 15-20 minutes walk from the city center and the tourist attractions of York. That makes it easy enough to walk into town avoiding parking costs. It also benefits from nearby local amenities (supermarkets, take outs etc.). Being slightly out of town in a quieter street is also a benefit. It is nicely furnished with everything you will need to accommodate up to 4 + infant. Nice welcome pack including tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Owner is very helpful.

Sehr eng und ungemütlich
Die Wohnung ist ein enger Schlauch auf zwei Ebenen, wenn einer kocht, kann keiner zum Bad gehen. Der "Garten" ist ein trostloser Vorplatz, in dem Müll gesammelt wird. Bad und Küche riechen schimmelig. Die Matratzen sind schrecklich unbequem und knarzen bei jeder Bewegung. Vom Preis her kann man nichts sagen, für York günstig. Für die Lage gibt es auch einen Punkt.

It was a little house with nice furniture. The position is calm and the centre isn't far away.
We were very content with the house. We spent two nights with five persons there. One of us had to sleep on the couch but there was no problem with it. There was nothing missing of the things listed on the website. The centre of York is not far away so you can reach the most things by fest. Everything was good this weekend and we have nothing to fault about the domicile. Also the organisation before was very uncomplicated and we had the feeling to be in good hands. So we can really recommend this accommodation.
