"Disappointed to have pre booked supper requesting a window table to be sat in the middle of the restaurant. The shower needs attention! The shower rose was so blocked you couldn’t use it, it was leaking from the arm joint, and the handheld was exactly that, you had to hold it as the riser rail was broken! Luckily I have a soft spot for this hotel and the geese will always make you smile in the car park "

"As a family of four with 2 teens and a big dog, it's difficult to find somewhere not over priced and a big enough space for us all. We stayed in a very spacious family room. Bathroom had a big drench shower and heated towel rail. Plenty of space for our dog's big bed! Ben and the other staff were very friendly and attentive, also accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was included and fantastic choice. We ate at the pub on the second night and the food really was fantastic and a good varied menu....

"Lovely cottage with super comfy beds. The hot tub was great. Only downside was the kitchen layout as the sink was the other side of the huge island making it a bit of a hassle when cooking. The main oven did not work and we had to buy a frying pan as there wasn’t one. We also couldn’t get the TV to work in one of the bedrooms. I would also suggest that the chesterfield settee needs either reupholstering or replacing as it was so uncomfortable."

"The cottage was just what we hoped it would be and we had a fantastic few days on Dartmoor (it was October and we were lucky with the weather). We could walk on the moors from the front door and it had the added bonus of being a few minutes from an excellent pub! There are wonderful views from the upstairs front windows and the scenery nearby is perfect for exploring in all directions. The cottage is well-equipped and it was easy to make it warm and cozy with both background heating and lovely...
