I chose this hotel because they were pet friendly. They weren't the cheapest in the area but they should have been. We had booked a king size bed but when I arrived after traveling all day, we were advised that our room had undergone water damage and we were now in a room with two queen beds. Not a dealbreaker but not what I had booked. The place didn't appear to be full. We went to our room (room 127) and opened the door. No light fixture just inside the room so it's a bit dark. I noticed a musty smell as soon as I walked in but that still didn't mean I was unhappy with the room. What did it for me was the filthy heat pump which didn't work so I was unable to turn it on to the dry setting to try to alleviate the damp smell. In the morning when I opened the curtains, the window pane was soaking wet with condensation and there was black mold growing in the corners of the windowsill. There were tiny dead bugs all stuck to the ceiling in the bathroom as well. One issue I could have dealt with. The mold is definitely a dealbreaker. I went to the front desk with photos and showed the clerk the condition of the room. She advised me that she can't give me a discount but wanted me to write down all the things I showed her and her manager would contact me. Of course, nobody contacted me. The black mold is a big problem and they better hope nobody with any clout sees it. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
