"Easy access to the home and within walking distance to the quaint town of La Grange. Enjoyed the baked bread that was a pleasant surprise. Property owner was prompt in mailing back to me a bag I had left on the property. Suggestion would be to remove the area rugs in the living area if there will be a guest staying using a wheelchair for mobility. Overall, wish more homes were wheelchair accessible as our experience with the Sweet Retreat. "

"This is one of the most fabulous properties I have ever stayed at. I brought my family to celebrate my doctoral graduation, and it was truly a pleasure to work with Deb, the host. I highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a peaceful, family-oriented space where you can have a great time."

"We were in town to watch some of our grandkids participate in the national archery tournament. This house worked perfectly for us and it also had a lot of amenities. Nice area and host was very helpful."

"We had a weekend wedding at Gheens Foundation and this rental was a great space for us in between wedding activities. Very spacious, beds all slept great, kitchen was well equipped, nice outdoor space, and plenty of parking. My only concern was no access to the washer and dryer but it wasn’t a big deal since it was only two nights. The owner was very responsive! Great place for a large family! "

"I've stayed at this property probably 6 times now. I will always come back when I am in town for work. I love that the location is close to downtown but also feels miles away in the countryside. Its a beautiful area, close to so many attractions, and the hosts are fantastic. The master bed is the best nights sleep! Cant wait to be back again!"

"This house was prettier and more special than the pictures display. What a gem! We came in for my son’s wedding- family of the groom and it was perfect for my extended family to hang out, including my 92 yr dad. We relaxed in between activities- it is extremely convenient to Louisville and any nearby stores for last minute needs for events. Each room and patio gave a feeling of zen, peace, beauty, a wonderful way to quietly start and end the day plus also entertain in with brunches and family...

"5 BR, 5 BA was awesome! House was very clean. The inside patio fireplace was not working but would have been nice to enjoy. Spacious house. Missing lightbulbs in light fixtures, not providing luggage racks, and nightstands in some bedrooms would have added to the amenities. Our group of 10 adults would definitely rent tjis house again!Missinlightbulbslight bulbs "

"This was a "Girl Cousin's Get Away". The house was perfect for us; we had two mother/daughters, and then 3 singles. With the 2 1/2 baths it worked great and the kitchen living room area was open and big enough for lounging and visiting around the table. Weather was a bit cool that weekend and our activity schedule didn't allow us to utilize the nice back yard. The location was perfect our the activities we chose (Churchill Downs, Bardstown, and Hermitage Farm). We didn't cook at the house,...

"Once in a lifetime experience. So grateful to everyone who had a role in renovating this historic property. The house is a treasure with elegant wraparound porches in authentic Kentucky style. The spacious well-furnished interior achieves modern day luxury while keeping its character. The home overlooks Harrod’s Creek and we saw deer from the window. Convenient to the excellent restaurants one minute away. We are already planning a return stay."

"The house was beautiful and just as advertised. The location was near everything we had planned to see and do. The mattresses were very firm and the water pressure was amazing in the shower. My only regret is not having time to soak in the tub. "

"The property was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the river. My family thoroughly enjoyed the coziness of the house and sitting on the heated sun porch to watch the river traffic."

"Easy access to airport, downtown, highway to burban tours, derby tour, and more. Small space that was perfect for our four people to have thier own comfortable bed and a place to play cards between events. "

"You could tell the renter went the extra mile, both financially and with design, to make the renter's stay comfortable, fun, and luxurious. We appteciated the quality bath linens and bedding, and the beds were so comfortable. The design made it feel inviting and high end. Communication with the renter reflected the large effort of this renter. She was timely and professional, and very reprogram to our family's needs. I highly recommend this property. You cannot beat the location or the effort...

"Hotel novo, bem localizado, quarto confortável e café da manhã honesto. Porém pessoal d recepção EXTRA confuso com débitos no cartão de crédito que somos obrigados a deixar como garantia. A princípio a Recepção pré lança US$ 25 como garantia no seu cartão ai depois somos surpreendidos com outros lançamentos e temos que perder tempo explicando que são indevidos!!!! No meu caso houveram além dos $ 25, mais 02 lançamentos indevidos e mesmo comunicando e a recepção dizendo que o supervisor iria estornar um dos lançamentos permaneceu!!!! Dor de cabeça!!!!"
