"Beautiful hotel. We were greeted by a glass of prosecco whilst we checked in. We had a standard room which was more than adequate in size and it has the softest bed and linen I think I have ever stayed in, the room had a balcony looking out over part of the golf course. We played golf and used the spa after which is intimate in size but well worth using. We ate in both restaurants and had breakfast on the terrace both mornings. The food is very much American asian infusion and is fantastic. Not...
"Lovely hotel, not huge so personal feel. Absolutely spotless. Staff friendly and lovely pool. Very relaxing break.
Worth noting there is no lift so had to use stairs. Not an issue for us but worth knowing if you do struggle with stairs so you can ask for an accessible room. Will stay there again."
"There isn't a minibar in the rooms and it's very hard to get bottles of water. The Gym is always very full, as is the pub and the restaurant, mostly with no guests.
So, after a long day of work, you arrive at the hotel and have to struggle to get some food. The employees from the pub/restaurant are very unfriendly."
"The whole staff was very helpful and personable, but I wanted to give a shoutout to Tony, who went above and beyond. I called an Uber on my last day, and it kept delaying the arrival time. When I became concerned about missing my train, and a taxi was going to take too long to arrive, Tony took me to the train station himself--talk about going the extra mile! (Also, note that Uber is currently not reliable in Canterbury--hopefully that will change in the future). "
"This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops.
The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent.
Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy)
All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area"
"We arrived before the check-in time and dropped our luggage there, wich was placed in our room when we finally got to the room. The staff couldn't be nicer. The hotel is located by the entrance to the Cathedral, near stores, pubs and restaurants. Comfortable clean room. Ours was an ensuite. I would definitely recommend it. "
