The Old Haven - An Enduring Piece of Nostalgia

This charming home was built in 1908 and is located 45 minutes from Tampa/Orlando. Fully furnished, this space is perfect for families and friends providing plenty of space to sleep 8 people comfortably. With games, puzzles and Dvds, backyard fun for kids while the parents watch from the porch. Enjoy downtown entertainment within walking distance! Home is centrally located to dining, shopping, and small town fare. 4 bar restaurants walking distance on the lake. Live music from Lake sometimes.

Enjoy Old World charm in this beautiful American classic home built in 1908. This home has been updated to offer more modern conveniences.

Guests will have access to all areas of home.

I will greet you upon arrival if need be and live only 5 minutes away from home. The house has a key code lock box for self check in that works for most guests since a house info folder is just inside door and everything is simple. I am always available for any questions or concerns and just a phone call or text away.

Eclectic neighborhood. 2 min walk to Lake Howard. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores etc very close by. Half a mile away from downtown Winter Haven. 5 miles away from Legoland Florida. 45 min away from Orlando, 39 min to Disney, 51 min to Universal Studious, 54 minutes from Orlando International airport . One hour away from Busch Gardens and the Tampa International airport.

Public transportation is available. A complete directory will be available to assist you in your stay in Winter Haven.

We just want to take this time to point out an important reminder that we do conduct a full inventory check both before you check-in and after you check out. We hope that you will treat our home as if it was your own.

Missing items will be charged against your stay and we certainly don’t want to have to do that. The following shows you the costs that may accumulate should items go missing.

Small towels = $10.00
Large towels = $20.00
Board games (missing or damaged) = $15.00
DVDs (missing or damaged) = $5.00
Bed sheets = $30.00
Pillow Cases = $10.00
Pillows = $30.00/each

Backyard board and bean toss game available. Charcoal grill and propane grill as well as all grilling utensils available at house. We also have a crib for babies and a high chair available and a desktop for people who need a space for work or school.

Have a boat? Great! You can find a public boat ramp (on lake Howard) less than half a mile away from the house. Lake Howard is part of the Chain O'Lakes that connects over 15 lakes! You can even visit Legoland a few lakes over and watch their ski shows! Lake Howard also has one of my personal favorite places to watch the sunset. Located half a mile away from the house, in front of the McDonalds, is a small amphitheater that leads onto a dock that is angled in the perfect position to view a sunset over a lake.

Not only are you half a mile away from the lakes, but you are also conveniently half a mile away from Downtown Winter Haven. Visit the boutiques, thrift stores, restaurants & bars, and more!

We have taken pleasure in making sure the home we provide has the listed amenities available, is clean, and is well maintained. Although we do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that before leaving, you clean and put away any dishes or kitchenware used and any dirty towels in the hamper. Also, please report any malfunctioning appliances or issues to us right away. The house is very comfortable, and we hope you love it as much as we do. We want to emphasize that there is to be absolutely NO SMOKING in the home. Also, cooking with strong-smelling spices or deep frying is prohibited. Guests have done this in the past and it has taken nearly three days to remove the strong odors from the house, even with our professional cleaning. If the home is found to have a pungent smell from cooking or smoking following your stay, we will need to impose a $300 fine.
