Walking distance from The Forks, Canada Life Centre, Theatre District, Manitoba Museum, many restaurants, pubs, the river trail and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
Neighbourhood description Winnipeg's Exchange District is one of the most iconic and vibrant neighbourhoods in Winnipeg. This national historic site features an exceptional collection of heritage buildings built between 1880 and 1920. Nicknamed the “Chicago of the North”, the Exchange features more than 150 immaculate heritage buildings within 20-square-blocks.
These buildings and tree-lined streets, which were once warehouses and “terra cotta skyscrapers” that housed financial institutions, have since become Winnipeg’s cultural hub, blanketed with restaurants, galleries, gourmet donut and coffee shops, hip clothing, lifestyle and design stores.
It’s also become the home to many Winnipeg businesses including graphic design and architecture firms, tech start-ups via Innovation Alley, and photography studios. Above the streets many of these older buildings’ floors have been converted into stylish studio apartments where a lot of the city’s hip set have started to migrate.
Nearby acclaimed dining includes: Deer+Almond, where chef Mandel Hitzer’s whimsical share-plates menu has graced several of Canada’s best restaurant lists; the Mitchell Block, where fresh pastas and well-executed entrees (if you see Arctic char on the menu, order it!) are the name of the game; and Peasant Cookery, a farm-to-table bistro where cocktails and charcuterie headline in a beautifully-restored dining room and adjacent bar.
For some other ideas, be whisked away across the universe in the Planetarium, stroll the boardwalk of 1920s Winnipeg, and see the full scope of a bison hunt at the Manitoba Museum. Next door to the museum is the Centennial Concert Hall, home of Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
A visit to the Exchange during the summer must include a visit to Old Market Square, which plays host to numerous summer events and festivals. The Winnipeg Fringe Festival and the Winnipeg Jazz Festival are two of the many must-attend events.
Additional rules Please forgive us for having to state the house rules, which should already be obvious. 99% out of 100 guests are awesome and it is our pleasure to host you, and we look forward to getting to know you. Regrettably, there is always someone who ruins it for the rest of us. So here are our rules:
HOUSE RULES: * This is NOT a party unit and unregistered guests are not allowed.
* Quiet time is 10h30pm -8:00am (Walls are thin)
* Stays longer than 28 days are allowed and guests will need to sign a tenancy agreement.
* “Starter Pack” of dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and laundry soap will be provided for stays booked up to two weeks. Guest is responsible for acquiring these supplies when staying longer than two weeks. Guest is responsible for additional needs beyond what is provided but is not required to replace items used during the stay. Please message with any additional questions. Additional cleaning fee will be charged if you would like to have your place cleaned during your short term or long term stay.
* No 3rd party bookings (example booking for your child and their friends)
* No parties or gatherings of ANY sort
* Keep the noise level down between 11:00pm and 8:00am
* NO SMOKING of any kind (tobacco, cannabis, vapes, etc.) in the loft or in the building. Smoking inside the condo or building will result in an automatic $250 air purification charge from the Condo Board. You will be liable for this fine.
* Please be respectful to everyone in the building
* Please treat our belongings with respect
* Please remove your shoes / boots when entering inside the condo
* We look forward to welcoming you into our home but as registered guests only. You must register EVERY GUEST that will be staying in or visiting you during your stay. No extra guests other than the ones mentioned in the booking. Should there be any unregistered guests, the reservation will automatically be terminated and we will ask you to leave.
* Checkout is by 11:00am
* Should you leave the condo in bad shape after your department, you will be charge extra cleaning fees.
* A building key fob will be issued for building access during your stay. Replacement fee is $100.00 if lost.
* Check-out time is 11:00 am. This allows us time to get our loft ready for the next guest. If you check out past 11:00 am without preauthorization, you are subject to a $25/hr Fee. If you check more than 2 hours late you are required to pay that day’s rate without discount. You will also be liable for any monies we have to refund our next guest if we couldn’t get the condo ready in time and have to arrange alternative accommodations for them.
* If any of these rules are broken the reservation will automatically be terminated with no refund.
**When booking with us and staying at our condo, you agree to abide by all our policies and assume any fines and fees as noted above.**
Community Living: We ask that guests be mindful of their neighbours and other residents in the building of the noise they are making. Keeping noise to a minimum is appreciated by all.

This is our fourth time here. Love the location! We walk everytime we attend a concert at the Life Center or Burton Cummings Theater. Great breweries (Little Brown Jug and NonSuch) and resturants (Pumphouse on James). Excellent communication with the host. Kitchen is well supplied. Building is quiet. Best perk is the assigned parking space behind the building.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this downtown Winnipeg condo. The suite was immaculate – beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It was clear that great care has been taken to make the space welcoming for guests.
We chose this rental because of its location, and it couldn’t have been more convenient. It’s literally just down the block from the Centennial Concert Hall, where we had tickets to see Les Misérables, which made our evening incredibly easy.
Having a designated parking space included at no extra cost was also a huge bonus. We could even see our vehicle from the room, which gave us great peace of mind. Our host, Sylvia, was fantastic and very organized. She sent a detailed message before our arrival outlining what to expect, including addresses, access codes, photos of the parking lot, and a phone number for the parking staff.
At one point someone had mistakenly parked in our designated spot, but the parking contact Sylvia provided was very helpful and quickly arranged a temporary spot until our space became available again.
The condo is also close to great restaurants and attractions like The Forks and the Manitoba Museum, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others visiting downtown Winnipeg.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was ideal for us as we were attending a concert at Canada Life Centre as well as one at Park Theatre. CLC was a very nice walk and Park Theatre was a very affordable and quick Uber ride away. We enjoyed a few restaurants within walking distance (peak was Pho at Little Saigon). The suite was comfortable and had everything we needed. The walls are thin as mentioned in the ad. But, the building is very quiet because of that! Free parking was a nice perk and we could see the vehicle through the window which was nice. Hoping to come back in the summer as The Forks and other attractions are a walkable distance as well! Thanks Sylvia for sharing your space.

A wonderful retreat in the centre of the city. It was a perfect, cozy base to return to in between Christmas parties. The location is great with lots within walking distance, and Silvia is a great host who made my stay easy and enjoyable. I hope to be back next Christmas.

Super Cute Condo
We loved staying here on our weekend visit to Winnipeg from the states. The condo itself was clean and comfortable. We loved having free WiFi & parking. The location is excellent for walking to restaurants, breweries & other local destinations. The host was very accommodating and was very quick to help us when we had an issue with the TV. We will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend this property to others looking for a great place to stay in Winnipeg.
