The estate offers you 5 acres of well-kept grounds to play with, so you can start the day with a ramble through the meadows or claim a sunny spot for a picnic. Lake Windermere is just 1 mile away, along with the village that shares its name. Here, you can jump on the ferry, potter along the shoreline, or book a boat trip for an afternoon on the water. Grasmere (10 miles), famous for its gingerbread, is delightful for a day trip, or spend a few hours in Ambleside (6 miles) browsing the old cobbled lanes and market stalls. And if your group has serious hikers, put The Old Man of Coniston or Scafell Pike (around 13 miles) on the list for a summit day you will talk about all year.



Step through the first-floor entrance and into the well-appointed open-plan living area that instantly invites you to relax in comfort. At one end of this home is the deep-cushioned corner sofa with an electric fire and a Smart TV for those nights in front of the TV. Behind is the high-end kitchen, with contemporary white cabinets and all the appliances needed to whip up a feast for your hungry troop. The Scandi-style dining table is just next to this and has ample seating for six guests. When you grow tired and need to turn in, three lavish bedrooms await. On the ground floor, you’ll find two beautiful king-size bedrooms which share a modern shower room with WC and have convenient access to the outdoor courtyard.
