"A stunning hotel in an incredible location right on the lake, with breathtaking views throughout. The rooms, facilities and overall standard of the resort were excellent, but the real standout was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly, attentive and welcoming, which made the stay feel even more special. Would definitely recommend Low Wood Bay and would happily return."

"There were many issues with our stay here. 1. The owners messed with our stuff while we were out. 2. The toilet could only be flushed about 1x per hour. The owner said this was normal. 3. They do not even serve breakfast much less have a free one. 4. There is no airflow in the rooms and they do not have fans. While this is a relatively cheap place to stay, you will likely pay with a lack of comfort"

"Location was great with beautiful view from the room. Close to restaurants, shopping and pubs. Ambiance sort of shabby Victorian. No help in luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs - no lift in our wing. Never shown around the property or spa. No a/c. Heat and towel warmer off for entire hotel. WiFi spotty. Shower water pressure low. Breakfast was ok, dinner was ok. 3 star hotel and service with 5 star prices. Target clientele appeared to be tour groups."

"The staff from the beginning were always very friendly and helpful and provided very useful tips which improved our holiday experience. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The coffee provided in the room and at breakfast was excellent. The breakfast choices were very good and the quality of the breakfast and cakes were excellent. I looked forward each morning to it. The location was ideal as it is on a quiet road but very near the train station and main shops etc."
