"Lovely stay. Great room, very nice breakfast and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The christmas decorations made the whole stay feel very festive. The kids loved everything about it. The spa swimming pool was a little on the cold side but ok. "

"We arrived in Windermere about 9pm and all restaurants was closed. We thought the hotel restaurant could be opened and we drove to the hotel. Our surprise was the hotel restaurant was closed! When we told the recepcionist (Keneth), we had not have dinner yet he crossed the world to find something for us to eat. He called an chinese restaurant in a near city, ordered our food and prepared the bar with dishes, cutlery and all stuffs to us to eat. He was the best person ever in hotels to attend...

"Fantastic break between Christmas and New Year. We stayed in the annexe across the road. Our room was dual aspect with a lake view. It was perfect for our needs for our two nights stay. Breakfast was very good. The location was close enough to stagger up the main road from Bowness without too much effort. My only issues are that we were under a room which sounded like an elephant on treadmill most of the second night. Try for the top floor if you can. I did overhear a couple mention the main...

"The breakfast was lovely and plentiful, whilst the parking was adequate as there were few guests. The room could of benefitted from having lampshades on the wall lights, there was a rouge hair in the bath and the dressing gowns were washed with too much detergent, thus not as soft as you might expect for five star accommodation, At the time of booking a table, the menu differed considerably from that seen online, in addition to the price having been increased. "Staff were really friendly. Hotel and grounds were beautiful. Rooms were spotless. They also left a teddy on my daughters bed, which was lovely.the only 2 downsides were the WiFi (room 20) wasn’t reliable, this is fine if you don’t need the internet but if you intend to use it was a bit of pain because there was no mobile signal either. I like that it is a dog friendly hotel, however we had a dog barking most of the night at the hotel."
