"We stayed at don valley hotel because we were picking our son up to bring back to Carlisle we had a drink in the bar and everyone was so friendly and welcoming we met a few regulars Nev what a lovely bloke we spent a few hours talking to him and learning a thing or two and even got us to buy a bottle of the famous Hendersons relish from behind the bar to say we will be back is a definite yes absolutely cracking place and the car park was secure too "

"Foi o pior hotel que já loquei pelo site, as avaliações não são compatíveis com o que é oferecido pelo hotel. Tudo era muito sujo, chão, quarto, coberta, banheiro. Nao ofereceram toalhas, apesar de ter visto numa caixa no chão, mas nem usaria. A pia do quarto tinha resto de cabelo de barba, a toalha de rosto que estava atrás da porta estava suja. "The room is well renovated and everything works, mainly the shower. The breakfast is excelent, but expensive. There are some work in progress on the square in front of the reception, with the street interrupted, so the taxis and ubers sometimes don’t come to the right place. But it is a good location anyway to walk to the nice city centre of the (former) “steel city”, already converted to pedestrian streets. There was a fire alarm once in an ungodly hour, with everybody using the stairs to go...

"We wanted somewhere close to Hillsborough Stadium, and The Queens Ground fit the bill perfectly. Our room above the pub was clean, comfortable, and quiet enough for a good night’s sleep.
The pub itself is a proper local’s boozer - warm, welcoming, and full of character, with reasonably priced drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay.
Would happily stay again."

"What a great hotel. Can't say enough positive things about my experience. Room was lovely, clean, good value, great location and ambience, but the service and food were even better.
I had early starts both mornings of my stay and it was not too much bother for Helen on the front desk and Paul?, the chef to open the kitchen slightly early for me. The food was wonderful and good value and Helen couldn't have been more helpful. This is what an independent hotel / restaurant should be like. Thanks...
