"We had a pretty good time. The owners got a little carried away with the label maker. There was a long list of rules, but they probably had to be stated because there probably were past guest that weren't as considerate as they should’ve been. Over all, it was a great value and we had a good time."

"We were happy with the location (right outside of town). The pool is GREAT! There is LOTS of outdoor seating. The kitchen is SUPER well stocked. The house was clean. The downside...the spiral staircase to the 2nd bedroom and the "game room" area with the twin beds. It made getting luggage upsairs difficult. We definitely enjoyed our stay though"

"The deck was nice and enjoyed the hot tub. There were deer right ouside the kitchen window in the early morning. The owner checked with us to see if we needed anyting the second day we were there."

"My husband and I enjoyed our trip to Wimberley for our anniversary. This location is secluded but close to town. It has everything you need. Communication was great. The mattress was very very firm so that was the one negative for our preference. Also note the front door and planters are now bright yellow so that threw me off when we arrived just making sure we were at the correct location."

"Beautiful log home, very clean, great communication w/ host Denise, had all utensils/cooking supplies, enjoyed the smores supplies & campfire. Downstairs Queen bed comfortable, upstairs Queen a little stiff. Road to town is a little rough, and seemed like it was a ways back from town (only like 3 miles, lol seemed farther at 25mph) A few minor improvement opportunities to consider, could use a Keurig coffeemaker w/ pods, and may want to update pets info on listing (states up to 2 dogs allowed,...

"We loved our stay in Wimberley at the Restful Retreat. It was close to everything but yet away enough so you could enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We really enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub!"

"Overall, the place was great! Very clean, easy operation of grill, appliances, etc. The only negative was that we had really been looking forward to the hot tub, however, it was not in operation during our stay. The host reached out prior to the stay to let me know and kept me in the loop on the status. We discussed that we could fill the hot tub with a hose and at least have it as a dip pool for our stay. We filled it, but unfortunately all the water then drained out, though not from the drain...

"There were 8 of us that the house accommodated. We all enjoyed it very much! The house is spacious, clean and inviting. It had all the necessities you would need to utilize the kitchen. There were a couple items we had to reach out to management for which they got back to us very quick and assisted in answering our questions. I would recommend this property to all! "We stayed here with our three young kids and enjoyed the quiet escape. The house is well stocked and appointed which allowed for comfort and ease as we cooked all meals in house. We swam in the river and ran around the yard and enjoyed stargazing at night around the fire pit. We would gladly book again and appreciate the hosts opening up their home. The beds are comfortable, house and porches are clean, good air flow, quiet surroundings and a perfect riverside retreat."
