Woodland Vacations Little Owl Chalet is a charming small home with a stunning view of Whiteface Mountain located in Wilmington, NY. This new construction vacation rental is minutes from Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid. We provide a cozy rental near all the wonders of the Adirondacks. Little Owl sits in a quiet area that is walking distance to some of our popular local spots. Close to skiing, hiking trails, mountain bike trails and fishing. Walking distance to local chocolate treats, to the beach where you can swim and kayak or just walk across the street to the local pub to get food and drinks. Ironman race passes right by our rental property and is also minutes from the Poormans Mountain Bike trail.
Little Owl Chalet is a two bedroom and one bath home. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a balcony that has a stunning view of whiteface mountain and the sunset. You will be greeted by our two wooden owls on the railing with Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Our second bedroom has a full Adirondack bed with wooden view. The house has plenty of outlets for all your plug in needs. Little Owl accommodates 2-4 people comfortably. The first floor has an open concept and allows the space to feel much larger. The kitchen is stocked with the basics and includes fridge, oven/range, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker to make a quick meal to enjoy there or on the go. The large windows in the livingroom provides wonderful light and awesome views. The bathroom has good space and rustic charm to it with the wine barrel sink. Our home is equiped with wireless internet. Little owl is non-smoking and pet friendly. Each room has a flat screen tv's for your viewing pleasure. Each room includes air conditioning and is well heated for the winter. The chalet is fully furnished by our own Woodcutter Rustic and Woodland Designs. You will find our tiny home has all the Adirondack charm throughout.
The Little Owl grounds is an open but wooded area. It has a great space for parking. Off the deck you will find a charcoal grill for that summer BBQ. Next to the house is a five person hot tub. In the middle of the property sits a large fire pit with Adirondack seating. You will not be disappointed in this relaxing atmosphere with stunning views.

Nice getaway even in the rain

I wish the grounds were mowed...the grass was high and therefore more bugs. Lack of tables/space to play games. But we improvised.

Relaxing getaway

The house is in a great location, close to a lot of trails. The house is small, but had all the items you need. The view of whiteface was awesome. Loved that there was soap, towels and paper products. Suggestions: clean better prior to a guests arrival. swmorepriorguests.

Fantastic little cabin. Very close to everything in Wilmington. 15 minutes from down town Lake Placid. Had a wonderful relaxing time! Will be back!

We’ll tell you later. Still enjoying our vacation. And elsewhere-not there.

The short version. Dust and dog hair everywhere. Everywhere. In her defense, she offered to send cleaner right over, at our convenience. That was laudable. I said we had already cleaned. We hadn’t. We were just leaving. More to come, on our time. And in our time. Stay somewhere else. Maybe all these good reviews came when they used to care about this place. Maybe they need new cleaning. What was their problem became our problem. Look under the Little Owl reviews and you’ll see more Little Bear reviews. My husband will be back on when we do post, with all his pictures. “They” are right. As a former journalist, I know, a picture is worth a thousand words. We can back our words up.

Anniversary week get away

Great spot! Even better that they allowed our dogs. 💙 Comfortable easy location to everything. Easy check in and out. Hope was very responsive and a great host. We loved the fire pit and view. And of course the hot tub.

Fun Getaway

The cabin was very cute, perfect for two people. Location was great, hosts were very responsive. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. Only complaint was the mattress, Very Uncomfortable....Needs to be replaced.

We were very excited for our stay since we try to go up to the ADKs yearly & this year we could bring our pups along with us. The house was fine, as long as you weren’t stuck inside. We were also hoping for privacy which there was not. There’s a house literally right next to you and we could hear them all weekend, and it’s very close to the road. Pros: -shelter & amenities -close to town (Wilmington) & only 30 mins from lake placid - allows dogs -hot tub - good communication Cons: - very close to other people & road(not advertised) - hot tub was dirty inside - the door knobs weren’t dog friendly, my dog was able to open the door to the outside very easily just by hitting the knob - firepit is in the front when there’s more privacy in the back - very tiny, it was cramped with just the 2 of us and our pups - expensive for what it’s worth - on a very busy / fast road

Wonderful location, really cute cabin

Family of four for a summer stay, the location was perfect. Close to whiteface and a quick 22 minute drive to lake placid. Wilmington beach is cute and loved the chocolate shop on the corner. My kids named it “the owl house” and gave a name to each owl!
