"This home is by far the nicest one we’ve stayed at on our many visits to Alaska!! It is immaculate and well stocked, down to the soft comfy blankets to snuggle under. The beds are queens and a king, which is hard to find, and bathrooms were roomy and stocked with shower toiletries. The hilltop setting makes you feel like you are in a treehouse; we loved sitting on the deck and listening to the birds. It’s a perfect location, too, just a quick hop into downtown Talkeetna and to lots of hiking...

"We enjoyed a relaxing couple of days at the Mountain View Retreat. We enjoyed the snacks (especially the muffins) and relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying the view. We checked out a couple of the restaurants the host recommended, and were pleased with both. The space was just right for our family of four, and we appreciated the cozy fireplace to take the chill off of rainy fall days. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels were provided for both showering and the hot tub. The location...

"If you're for nice quiet place to stay with the family then look no further! The neighborhood is very laid back with lots of room between houses. This house is set at the back of its lot which gives you a giant front yard to play in. There are two small decks perfect for morning coffee. The inside of the house has a comfortable, welcoming feel. Overall, nice country type charm."

"Driving into the neighborhood of the Cottage made us feel at home. The property is very inviting and cozy. The inside of the cottage is bright and welcoming. The kitchen is perfect size for the 2 of us and everything was cleaned, labeled and ready to use. The bed is very comfortable and the mountain view from the bedroom is amazing! We enjoyed being able to walk up to the front yard area to enjoy our coffee and more of the view also. Almost every day of our stay we got to see moose in the yard...

"You walk in the front door and WOW! Everything is beautiful and luxurious, but comfy and homey. Easily comparable to 5-star hotels only so much better! "It was an excellent two-night stay, with a clean and well-maintained room. The refrigerator, microwave, stove, and coffee maker are in the spacious shared kitchen, complete with all the necessary household utensils. It's a quiet location close to the center of the charming town of Talkeetna, where there are several breakfast and dinner options. There's a nearby restaurant that offers excellent quality and price, and for supplies, there are shops selling regional products. It's close to the airport for booking flights, with several flight options around Denali National Park, with prices that are very attractive compared to helicopter flights from Denali or Seward."

"Historic building with renewed rooms. There is a bar with live music downstair. It is not a problem for me, but, keep in mind. Check in and check out very easy. I recommend and gonna go back!"
