Overall very nice unit with spectacular beach views and beach-side and pool-side location. Unit and complex were very quiet when we visited in fall. The decor and furniture in the unit shows a bit of wear and would benefit from some refreshing. But overall we enjoyed our stay, were comfortable and didn't have any troubles.

The only negative was the TV. As previous reviews had mentioned, after several minutes the connection to the streaming platform just shuts down and requires you to go through the set-up process continuously. I had hoped this issue would've been resolved because so many previous reviews had mentioned it, but it still exists. Everything else was great.

The location was really great. We were close to shopping downtown in Traverse with just a short drive. Great restaurants and great beaches were nearby. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The refrigerator was a little small but we made it work for the weekend. We would definitely stay here again.

The unit I stayed in needed some maintenance that had been neglected. Hole in wall next to fuse box, drapes in poor condition. Unit right over pool, not mentioned in description… rather loud. Half the view was pool house roof also not mentioned in description. Unit adequate, tv needed maintenance to operate. Good location

Beautiful!

This was the perfect getaway. The view of the sunsets from the balcony or the beach were beautiful! Nearby restaurants were good and Traverse City is just minutes away.

Wish it was summer...

This condo was directly on the beach in Traverse City. It was a beautiful location. I would have spent large quantities of time on the beach...if it was summer. Great and easy location to stay.

Nice view of bay just outside of TC

Great place for 1-2 people. Nice view of East Bay and close to Casino and Meijer. Close proximity for cross-country skiing trails. Very small refrigerator and no oven, but has microwave, DW, and small two-burner electric stove. Property manager Christian was quick to answer our questions. Would stay here again for weekend stay.

“Lovin the Shores”

This was our 4’th yr. at The Shores. We came with our family and they rent two other condos. The grandkids love it, and we are making wonderful memories. We just wish the pool was open. Hope to come back again.

Disappointed

This is by far the least favorite rental I’ve had in over 10 years with VRBO. Our unit was not ready for check when they said it would be. It wasn’t even clean for the previous guess yet. There is some mold and dirt around the bathroom windows and grout, Woke up to gnats on several walls & windows, Outside was needing some work. door had paint chipping , spiderwebs , spiders, & spills on door . It’s listed as the first floor but it’s not really there’s about 10 steps going up to the unit and since I had a stroke and use a cane it was difficult for me to get in and out. Sent a text to the management and never heard back from them after talking with him a few times. Very disappointed.

Great Condo on the Bay!

We had a great time. Beautiful sunset/sunrise from the balcony. Very nice condo for a couple. Separate living area from bedroom. Condo has a nice natural setting surrounded by trees and nature. Close drive to all that Traverse City offers.

Beautiful view

We stayed for four nights and enjoyed our stay. There's no washer and dryer, which would be nice for folks staying for a longer period. The refrigerator is also small but adequate for short stays, particularly if you are planning on eating meals out. The kitchen was well stocked with flatware, plates, bowls, cups, etc.

Beautiful location. Management inaccessible.

The view is worth the rental and it was clean and well decorated. The kitchen needs a better wine opener but is otherwise appropriately stocked for a kitchenette. The bathroom needed more towels and especially dark towels for makeup because the management specified that we should only use dark towels for makeup removal or risk being charged replacement cost. There was only a single dark washcloth for 3 days and two females. The toilet tank had a slow leak resulting in constant refilling noise. The pull out couch could not be used as a bed because it was broken on one end and would not lay flat. I messaged the owner twice about these issues and never received feedback. The only messages I received seemed automated and generic like “welcome” and “please leave 5 stars”. There was no blanket to use on the pull out even if it worked. The pillows smelled of strong perfume perhaps from the last guest or the person who cleaned. And the televisions seemed to have only a few channels though we really only checked them one time. Parking was easy. Location was convenient. Beach was great. Neighbors were great.

Great stay for 2

Wonderful place in a gorgeous location! My husband, 12 year old, and I loved waking up to a beautiful view of the bay every morning and watching the sunset every night. The queen bed was very comfortable, however the pull out bed was not the best. The head of the pullout tilted down at a 45 degree angle and the middle was quite uncomfortable - would not recommend for anyone other than a child. The dishwasher was broken and replaced the day after reporting it, however communication with the property management company was a bit delayed and unclear at times. Plenty of parking near the condo and swimming at the private beach was great.

Perfect

Spacious and clean with a delightful view of the lake. The main bed was very comfy. The sleeper couch was not comfortable but it was large enough for 2. The only negative was the guys on atvs woke us up bright an early to get the beach ready for the day but it wasn’t a bad thing just something to be aware of. Large deck patio. We wish the pool would have been open and heated. Overall it was perfect for our needs and I would recommend this place.
