"The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

"Very comfy room, with a hot shower. Nicely decorated with lots of lamps providing pleasant lighting, with armchairs to loll in and read. Quite a grand building, with interesting decor throughout; paperback books in shelves. Breakfast was very good too."

"The Halston is a beautiful venue and our townhouse was amazing and very clean, well equipped, staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast in their hotel and dinner in Penny Blue restaurant were delicious."

"Embora um pouquinho afastado do centro de Carlisle, é uma casa muito bonita, quarto super confortável, café da manhã delicioso e a famiília que é a dona e cuida de tudo extremamente simpática. Muitas árvores à volta, um pequeno lago, enfim um lugar excelente para pernoitar durante uma viagem mais longa. O casal inclusive prepara o jantar se o hópede solicitar.Tenha atenção caso vá passear no centro pois a estrada é muito estreita."

"This was our second stay at The Pheasant Inn and we were not disappointed. The rooms are wonderfully maintained & warm all year round, the staff are extremely friendly & accommodating (allowing us to store our bikes indoors) & the food is amazing! There is so much to see and do in the area we will definitely be back in the new year too."
