Take a quick 2.5 mile / 5 minute drive to Nickajack Reservior (with access to Nickajack Lake, Bennett Lake and Tennesse River) which is popular for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, catfish, crappie, and striped bass. The Bennett Lake public access area offers a public boat ramp, concrete fishing pier, and spots for kayaking, canoeing and picnicking. There is ample room to park your boat(s) at the cabin as well. The premier hiking spot, directly on the Nickajack Reservior located 7 miles / 10 minutes away, is the Little Cedar Mountain Trail Small Wild Area. This 320-acre public site features 4 miles of looped paths with lake vistas, limestone outcroppings an cedar forests.
