The Property

Holly House offers comfortable furnishings, practical facilities and a relaxed atmosphere, whether you're visiting for a few nights or several weeks.

Bedrooms

The property has two comfortably furnished bedrooms, providing accommodation for up to three guests.

Both bedrooms offer storage for clothes and personal belongings, with fresh bed linen, bath towels and hand towels supplied for all guests.

Bathroom

The family bathroom features a bath with an overhead shower, giving you the choice of a refreshing shower or a relaxing soak after a busy day.

Living and Dining

The welcoming living and dining area provides a cosy space to relax after exploring West Cumbria.

With comfortable seating, a Smart TV and an electric fireplace, it's a lovely place to unwind and enjoy time together.

Guests are welcome to sign in to their own streaming accounts during their stay.

Additional free on-street parking is available nearby, subject to availability. Free public parking is also available approximately five minutes' walk away.

Guests travelling with larger cars or vans may find the nearby street parking more suitable.

Guest Access

You'll have exclusive use of the entire home throughout your stay, including both bedrooms, the family bathroom, kitchen, living and dining area, and small rear yard.

Full arrival and access instructions will be provided before your stay.

Holly House is situated in Hensingham, just outside Whitehaven town centre, with local convenience stores, pubs, takeaway options and everyday amenities within walking distance.

Whitehaven's historic harbour is a lovely place for a stroll, with cafés, restaurants, shops and attractions including The Beacon Museum and The Rum Story.

The nearby coastal village of St Bees offers a beach, dramatic sandstone cliffs and scenic walks overlooking the Irish Sea.

For those exploring the Lake District, Ennerdale Water offers peaceful lakeside walks and mountain scenery, while Loweswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere are wonderful destinations for walking, sightseeing and enjoying the quieter western Lakes.

Families can also enjoy day trips to Muncaster Castle or the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, while Keswick and the wider Lake District offer even more to discover.

Whitehaven railway station provides connections along the Cumbrian Coast Line, and local bus services connect Hensingham with surrounding areas.

Before Your Stay

Guests are required to complete our disclosed pre-arrival requirements, including accepting our rental agreement and completing identity verification.

Security Deposit and Damage Protection

Before check-in, guests are required to choose one of two options:

• A refundable £150 security deposit, processed as a temporary card pre-authorisation. The hold is released following checkout provided no charges are due.

• A £25 non-refundable damage waiver, covering up to £150 of qualifying accidental damage, subject to the waiver terms and exclusions.

Guests can choose whichever option suits them best. Both options are arranged securely through our guest portal before arrival.

Full check-in instructions are normally provided approximately 24 hours before arrival once all required pre-arrival steps have been completed.
