One caused a flame to shoot out the wall melting the wires in the kitchen socket, the other melted the wires in the immersion heater meaning no hot water for several days. A door fell off in the kitchen, and the upstairs landing storage heater wires had been cut and disconnected so it was freezing upstairs at night. I was told by the electrician that came out several times that the owner of the property liked to ‘tinker’ with the electrics hence the botched up...

"The cottage is very comfortable and has every facility for a great short break in Keswick. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The drying area in the shower bathroom came in handy for the wet weather. 2 minutes from main street with both supermarkets within 100yards. Will definitely visit again. All of the booking team could not have been more helpful, excellent communication from the staff, who immediately sent over all booking information and directions to the property. All ground floor with private terrace outside (which we couldn't use unfortunately as we had a very wet week in February!) The house was warm, the beds comfortable and the bathroom was very good. Hall space very useful for coats and boots.
