Steps to the River! River Edge Cabin

River Edge log cabin only 10 minutes to the West entrance of Glacier National Park. This beautiful cabin is located on a private ranch just steps to the river bank of the Middle Fork River with river access. Located just a 1 minute drive or 5 minute walk to 4 fishing/swimming accesses. A fisherman's dream vacation spot! You can access the river through the woods and down the trail. Steep decline to be expected.

Enter this beautiful cabin to find all the luxuries of home. Enjoy the living room seating area watching your favorite shows on apple tv, surfing the internet or take in the views through the large picture windows looking out to the great Montana outdoors.
This one level cabin also offers a full size kitchen for all your cooking needs and a cozy dining area seating for 4. There are two private bedrooms down the hall each offering one Queen bed. Down the same hall you will find one shared full size bathroom.

On this working ranch, you will find our loveable friendly dogs and horses. Feel free to spend some time petting our ranch animals, they love the attention. Finish your evenings playing in Montana great outdoors by enjoying some star gazing outside or building a small campfire in the firepit off the main deck. A true Montana log cabin outside Glacier National Park!

Please note: Montana can become very dry and cause us to be in High Fire Danger. Our fire pits are not guaranteed to be available due to these constant changing conditions. Please inquire with us prior to your arrival should you have any questions about our fire pit availability.

Our property sleeps no more than 4 guests max. This property does not allow pets or smoking inside.At time of reservation, we do require reserved guest to sign a rental agreement. Our confirmation email will include the link to the agreement from Glacier View Vacation Rentals.Ā 

2026 Reservations: We will open our calendar to all 2026 reservations starting August 1st, 2025. Please check back with us,Ā to reserve your spot with us.

Great Little Getaway

The Riverā€™s Edge was the perfect home base for our family trip to Glacier National Park! My husband and I, along with our two boys (ages 14 and 11), felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortableā€”exactly what we needed after long days of hiking and exploring the park.The location couldnā€™t have been better: just 10 minutes from the park entrance for easy access, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and secluded. We also appreciated being close to all the essentials like groceries, laundry, and great local restaurants.Like other reviews, we enjoyed friendly visits from the ranch dogs and horses. It added such a warm, welcoming touch that made our stay even more special.Highly recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy Glacier while still having all the comforts of home. Weā€™d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lovely, quiet cabin

This was our 10 year anniversary trip and we loved the secluded cabin. It had everything we needed and it is adorable!! River access is very wooded and the river is moving pretty good at that location, we just drove the tiny bit to go to the river by the bridge, which is beautiful! The horses and dogs were a delight and several deer enjoyed nice walks right outside the living room window. I informed the property manager about needing an Apple ID to work the television, we used our daughters so we had no problems. Our time in West Glacier seeing the mountains, visiting the park and relaxing at the cabin was so wonderful. We will be returning!!!

We love log cabins and this one was so nice. Stayed for our trip to Glacier NP and enjoyed the ability to cook breakfast and dinner and chill after long days of hiking. Love the horses and the dog greeting you as you come in

Quiet Cabin Across from Glacier National Park

ThĆ­s was the last stop on our 18 day National Park road trip from Southern California. My friend and I thought this was our favorite place to call home on our trip! The cabin is so comfortable and quiet due to the location. There is everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. It is so close to an entrance of the park and Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Outstanding comfort and convenience

Christie made everything easy for us from start to finish! I HIGHLY recommend staying at River Edge cabin. We loved having fully stocked kitchen amenities, so we could cook dinner and eat on the deck a couple of times. Quiet, country setting. Easy to get to West Glacier entrance and nearby town of Columbia Falls with restaurants, stores, etc.

We found the River Edge Cabin to be a perfect fit for our three day visits to Glacier. The information provided prior our arrival was most helpful (where to get groceries,etc) and check in was painless. The information book had plenty of helpful suggestions and check out very easy. We would definitely suggest this to others visiting Glacier.

Glacier perfection

This cabin was ideal for our stay. 15 minutes from the gates of glacier national Park. Ultra quiet. Very clean and Beautiful cabin nicely appointed. Friendly horses visit via the pasture right behind the cabin. Sitting at the fire pit with a crackling fire, and enjoying a beverage during the beautiful evening and snapping pics of the amazing stars all made our trip spectacular. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a reset. Also, the river access is literally a three minute walk Through the trees. Beautiful sunsets and fishing right there. The host was very responsive and a pleasure to work with.

Wonderful space

Really enjoyed our space at the cabin. It's walking distance to the river, which was great. We loved seeing the horses in the evening, and using the hiking path in the morning. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a family of 4. Driving distance to pretty much everything (10-15 minutes to the park, 30 minutes to Kalispell). If in this area, I recommend.

Wonderful Get A Way for our time at Glacier

This cabin was the perfect place for us and our granddaughter to spend some time in Glacier. We were not far from the park and would come back to relax. Only problem was we did not allow enough time to experience Glacier. šŸ˜Š Great cabin to make some meals & rest. Our granddaughter enjoyed visiting the horses. Thank you again for everything!

Pristine Cabin with creature comforts

Very clean newer construction well furnished cabin ideally located near the Flathead River. Christine is a great property manager and a good communicator. We enjoyed playing with the ownerā€™s 2 dogs(Porter and Willy). Is a great location for GNP and surrounding areas. Would stay again.

Trained architect loves this cabin's architecture

This cabin is fabulous. If you ever want to live in a log cabin in the woods this place is a must. It is log cabin kitted out for the 23rd Century. It is very understated. A beautiful book on the creation of the going to the sun road is in the living room. Thank you Ellen Blankenship.

Great Stay

We loved staying in this cabin on our trip to Montana. If you're looking to go to Glacier National Park most days, the access to the park from here is great. The cabin was comfortable and had a fairly well stocked kitchen. I was nervous about the warm summer days and the lack of AC, but it was honestly not an issue. The access to the river is very easy and our daughter loved the visits from the dogs and visiting the horses in the evening. Thanks for letting us make great memories here :)

We loved this cozy, quiet cabin. It's well maintained and clean. The cabin is located a short walk to the river and is in the woods. We loved being welcomed by the owner's two beautiful dogs.
