Not a paddler? Relax on a comfortable Adirondack chair with your toes in the sand and a good book, enjoy eagle sightings and jumping fish, or sip on a drink and consider how fortunate you are to be here.

When you're ready to explore the area more fully, you will be surprised that this area offers many cultural opportunities. .Visit the Rappahannock Art League in Kilmarnock, the Allure Art Center in White Stone, or Arts on Main in Gloucester. For rainy days, head over to Compass Entertainment in Irvington. This amusement center has indoor games, putt-putt, a climbing wall, a movie theater, a bar, and a restaurant. Kids of all ages love it!

You may also enjoy exploring the Northern Neck's many designated "Trails," such as the Oyster Trail, the Wine Trail, the Water Trail, the Artisan Trail and, not to be outdone, the Coastal Waterfowl Trail.
