it was very clean, very well stocked and organized, nicely decorated, had lots of space, quiet, and nice views. the kitchen worked well for us. They provide an outside sitting area at both ends of the little house which we should have taken advantage of but did not...next time we will. It is up the hill from town by about 4 miles, but that was fine with us. We felt very safe and slept well in the comfortable bed. Katie was very helpful. We enjoyed the view of the top 3rd of Mt Hood out our bedroom window and the view of the mountains to the west which made for a nice sunset. We were only there for 2 days, but wish we had stayed longer since there is so much to explore in the area. We will be back.

Beautiful and quiet and roomy!! The kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and amenities were all great! Just a short drive up the hill from White Salmon, the stars at night are spectacular. There are so many amazing activities nearby, you will sleep like a log every night.

Quiet, clean, nice private place out in the hills. Great for relaxing and enjoying some downtime. I recommend going into town to visit white salmon bakery during your stay!

Little House gem

Very well thought out, with helpful signs throughout. Spare keys, phone chargers, board games, toiletries. The kitchen had a surprising amount of spices, coffee, tea, oatmeal, flour, etc. Very clean! I loved that. It's in the hills away from town, which is what we wanted. Excellent internet. I will note that the couch is comfier than the bedroom matress though. Would absolutely stay again.

This property was very clean, spacious, and had literally everything labeled. It’s in a quiet area and the hosts gave us a ton of info and responded very quickly. Would recommend to anyone!

Clean, quiet, great host

Said it all above. I ran into the host the first night and had such a great chat about the property and the wonderful furniture in the rental. (Made by her husband). Her communication skills are so perfect. Everything inside has a label on it and expectations are clear. (They are not burdensome, don't worry)

Great homebase for our visit with family

The little house was perfect for our purpose. We were visiting family in the area and just needed a place to sleep at night and have some meals with our family together. Katie was very accommodating and helping us with whatever we needed. The little house is very clean and very well equipped With any everything you need for your stay. Coming from NH I especially appreciated the washer and dryer so we did not have to bring as many clothes for our vacation. The appliances appear to be new and everything is in excellent condition. It is a little bit out there up a winding twisting road but once you get used to it, it’s seems like home The view of Mount Hood on the way down is absolutely stunning. Thank you, Katie for all the little extras you did to make our vacation special. Hope to stay with you again.

perfect base to explore the Gorge

This place, high above Salmon Arm, is perfectly located for exploring both sides of the Gorge. Very comfortable, with all the amenities, private and very quiet. Very friendly hosts, knowledgeable and ready to share their knowledge of the area - thank you.

Beautiful landscape

MY husband and I have stayed at The Little House On The Hill twice now. We definitely will stay there again. The area is so beautiful, and quiet. It is in a rural area, which suited us well. Katie, the host is great. We enjoyed talking with her on our arrival. The place is so comfortable, and Katie thought of everything to make our stay just right. We look forward to staying there again.

Loved this place

Katie has added very special touches to this place in her efforts to make it feel like home away from home. The only noise you hear are the birds. It is a place to unwind and get away from all the nonsense. It is exactly as they state. Quiet and peaceful. If we ever find ourselves in the area again this place is where we will stay.

Lovely home with beautiful views

Little house on the hill was a super-cute, incredibly well-stocked rental. The views were beautiful, and we could even see a glimpse of Mt. Hood from the driveway. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful country setting and would definitely stay here again.
