It serves as a highly practical base for corporate guests, contractors, and work stays needing a clean, quiet place to wind down after a long day. With reliable Wi-Fi, flat off-street parking suitable for work vehicles or boat trailers, and fully self-contained amenities, it balances utility with coastal comfort.
For holidaymakers, it is an ideal launchpad for boating and fishing trips, being close to excellent local ramps and charter boat departures at the marina. After a day on the job or out on the water, the clean, `un-fussed` interior offers a relaxed space to settle in and enjoy the slower pace of coastal life. The open-plan living area opens directly onto a large, covered deck, ensuring you have a sheltered spot to prep your gear, fire up the gas BBQ, or simply unwind.
Kitchen & Dining: The kitchen is well equipped for a self-catering stay and is well-stocked with essential cookware. - Portable double electric hotplate, mini electric oven, microwave, and air fryer (PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO CONVENTIONAL STOVE OR OVEN). - Fridge-freezer. - Toaster, kettle, and plenty of crockery/glassware for family groups. - Direct access to the outdoor dining area on the deck.
Bedrooms: The bach comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests, with a maximum of 4 adults. Freshly laundered linen and towels are provided for all stays. - Bedroom 1: Queen bed (sleeping up to 2 adults). - Bedroom 2: Two sets of sturdy, solid timber bunk beds (configured as classic bunks, rather than individual single beds). For adult comfort, we recommend using only the lower single bunks, leaving the top bunks best suited for children.
Bathrooms & Laundry: The property features a complete indoor bathroom, essential laundry facilities, as well as a bonus outdoor shower. - Internal Bathroom: With a shower, toilet, and vanity. - Laundry: Washing machine provided for your convenience (please note there is no dryer, but an outside clothesline with pegs is available). - Additional Outdoor Shower: A separate hot and cold shower located outside. Perfect for a warm rinse after swimming or a day at the beach without bringing sand indoors.

One Tree Point and Marsden Cove offer the perfect setting for rest and relaxation. While the area is experiencing growth, it maintains a laid-back, peaceful atmosphere for most of the year, with the exception of a bustling few weeks over Christmas. Enjoy walking, biking, swimming, paddleboarding, or simply unwinding with a good book. Take a leisurely stroll to the café in the canal development or wander the paths around the Marina.
Boat launching is convenient, with ramps available at both Marsden Cove Marina and One Tree Point. The Marina itself is just a short walk away, featuring the Marina Café, which serves coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner right by the water.
For beach enthusiasts, Ruakākā Surf Beach is only a 10-minute drive away. Alternatively, venture a bit further to Waipū Cove, which was crowned New Zealand`s Best Family Beach and Best Camping Beach in 2025. This picturesque spot offers safe swimming, excellent surf and a relaxed coastal vibe. Just beyond Waipū Cove lies Langs Beach, a hidden gem known for its golden sands and clear turquoise waters – perfect for a quieter beach experience.
Golfers won’t want to miss the Waipū Golf Course – a full 18-hole course set right by the sea, with stunning views and a great café to enjoy before or after your round.
You`ll find a Four Square supermarket at the Marina for your essentials, and the Ruakākā Shopping Centre is just a 10-minute drive away for more extensive shopping needs. Further along, the charming town of Waipū boasts a rich Scottish heritage, boutique shops, a museum and delightful cafés to explore.
There is no public transport in the area - you`ll need your own car. Bring bikes as it is a perfect area for riding around, but just as good to walk around - we recommend stopping off at one of the cafes in the Marsden Cove Marina!
PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT: This home is professionally managed by ShortStays Northland. We are there to support your stay and make it as seamless and comfortable as possible, starting with an easy self-check-in process.
BEDDING CONFIGURATION FOR ADULTS: Our maximum adult capacity of 4 is based on utilising the Queen bed and the two lower single bunk beds of our solid wooden bunk sets. We do not recommend the top bunks for adults. Similarly, for bookings of two single adults requiring separate beds, one will sleep in the Queen bed and the other in a lower single bunk.
LINEN & SUPPLIES: We provide all bed linen, towels, and basic essentials to ensure a comfortable arrival. Just bring your own beach towels.
QUIET RESIDENTIAL AREA: This is a peaceful neighborhood and strictly NOT a party house. We appreciate your help in respecting our neighbours by keeping noise levels low, especially in the evenings.
