Whether I was heading out to explore the hubbub or grab a bite at nearby restaurants, everything was just outside the door. The room was stylish, with little touches that make a stay feel special. "A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage has everything you need and the bedrooms are a good size too. There are several uneven, steep steps walking up to the cottage so I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are unsteady on their feet. The owners left some biscuits and milk on the fridge which was a nice gesture. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future when visiting Whitby."

"The property was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the fact that the cafe attached was both delicious and had outdoor seating was absolutely incredible… The only downside to our stay is that there was a huge youth field trip. The kids were probably about 10-13 years old and were terribly loud, running up and down the stairs, screaming and yelling in the hallways and the teachers didn’t do anything about it. "Absolutely lovely cottage, clean, cosy and in the perfect location. We have had a great time. Very steep stairs inside the property and a fairly short bed so if you are super tall with mobility problems it might be difficult but for us it was perfect."

"Wow, what an amazing place to stay in Whitby. Foxton Penthouse was central for us to have coastal walks and to walk into town. The apartment was very modern and had everything we needed to make our stay go well. Once in town you can cross the bridge and walk up the 199 steps to the Abbey. Or get the hop on hop off bus. The costumes of people dressed up in Gothic clothes added to our stay. "
