NOTHING is inaccurate on our listing. Before this guest arrived, I notified her that I was recovering from a heart attack and apologized that we had not given the home attention for a month. I stated that if this was an issue, I will kindly fully refund her stay, should she decide to leave. There are many VRBO's in our area that were available, I personally checked. The guests decided to remain the entire time. We are absolutely incensed that she flat out lied that I said she should be "grateful" for toilet paper. I went through every single word exchanged and I NEVER used the word "grateful", however the guest did. My quote verbatim was: "We just telephoned our handyman and he said he put TP and paper towels in the house." He dropped this off before their arrival. This was in our ad, so we made sure it was stocked. There were extra garbage bags in the garage. There is absolutely NO WAY there was no hot water, the tank is either on-or-off, and it was on. She simply had to let it run. The internet is truly out of our control, the guests following these had internet with no issues. It is WNY in March, there is nothing we can do about the wetness, it is the season of mud and we cannot control that. I have gone through multiple listings and cannot see where tubs are listed as first or second floor. We had no way of knowing of her disability. She also mentioned a dog, but did not pay for the pet fee. There is absolutely NO WHERE on our site that says it is a "all one level living", another bold face untruth. The guests remained the entire length of the stay. When their stay was over, she contacted us and said she wanted a "full refund", then her demand was reduced, then half of that. I offered a smaller refund, in good faith, on the cost for compensation for dust and dead gnats (which are inescapable on the lake). The guest refused the offer and during one of the many money demands, said verbatim: "So, I'd like half my money refunded before I leave photos and a 1 star review." These photos she sent me of dead gnats. It felt like refund for review situation. As anyone can see, we have all 5 star ratings. We continued to communicate in good faith with this guest and were barraged with insults and demands and continuous untruths. We are both so pleased this interaction is over. We love our guests and being a host. We have retained friendships and repeat customers, so this experience has left us stunned.
