"Lovely place to stay whilst walking the South Downs Way, the staff were all brilliant, so friendly and attentive and couldn't have done more to make sure we were happy."

"Second visit and the hotel coverall was very good. However, the weather was very warm and so was the room with no air conditioning. Unfortunately the windows could only be partly opened due to security cables. Only a duvet was provided but far too warm for use. A sheet would have been good but not provided. A fan was provided but not that useful. So overall sleep difficult. "
"The pub was lovely, the room was clean , quite small for the price but ok. Only improvement i would make is to put brighter bulbs in the bedside lights so you can read at night, they were very dim! "

"What a lovely stay. Very clean, spacious accommodation with great parking and pub with food on site. The pub is very quiet - you wouldn’t even know it was there to be honest. Staff were lovely, food was great and perfect location for Goodwood as you drive in on a quieter road. Would definitely return."
"An amazing little cottage in beautiful surroundings. We loved being able to wander the stunning grounds, and the provided milk, cereal and eggs was a lovely touch. The cottage is perfect, clean and comfortable, and dog friendly too!"
" Alovely lovely place to stay and we Will stay again ,loved that the floors are wonky but what do do expect just full of character loved it . A heads up my partner is 6ft the shower was a little on the small size .. the room was slightly smaller than we expected . The people are lovely can’t fault it at all , food was lovely enjoyed the crab especially … it was b+b shame we were not offered a cold takeaway brekkie as sadly we were leaving before breakfast was served . "The owners were able to let us in early. They provided information that we asked for. The room was spacious and very clean, with an enormous bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, enabling us to have a very good nights sleep. Breakfast was simple, but very good.
If we are in this area again we will certainly book into The Cottage again."
