"The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. "Suite (06) large, very comfortable, clean, with small amenities, hot shower, recently renovated, calm environment, helpful staff. Externally there is a communal space, with a small refrigerator, microwave, and several tables."

"Overnight stay in Room 117, a bit of a maze to find and a lot of stairs, so if you have any disability, don’t pick that one. Room was clean, comfortable bed, good bathroom facility and quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast and Evening meal had a good selection and was nicely cooked. Made use of the Indoor Pool, which was very clean and attractive, they use a booking system so it doesn’t get overcrowded."

"Check in was advertised at 3.00pm, arrived at 4.50pm but room was not available & hadn't been cleaned as the cleaner didn't turn up? Menu was reduced as the chef didn't turn up either and no toilet rolls in the bathroom. I gave my breakfast order the night before but it was not passed onto the cover chef in the morning, so in all not a great experience but...would I stay there again...definitely yes. Michelle and her team were amazing, they did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable and...
