Appalachian View has exactly what you're looking for to have the perfect cabin experience in Ashe County.......3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, breathtaking views, pool table, hot tub, fire pit, high speed internet and all paved access. Our cabin is located just minutes from downtown West Jefferson, NC in Ashe County, the Coolest Corner of North Carolina!! During the winter months, you can see the slopes of Beech Mountain in the distance.

Main Floor: Enter the cabin with 4 steps up to the deck. As you open the door, you'll love the open floor plan with warm and cozy atmosphere. The living room is furnished with comfortable couch, chair with ottoman and a couple of rocking chair, gas fireplace (October – March), flat screen TV with Roku. Great and fast wireless internet, too! As you walk through the living room, you'll find our log cabin dining table that seats up to 6 guests. Enjoy your favorite meal while being in awe of the views from the dining table! This is true mountain life. Near the dining area is our well stocked and modern kitchen. We do offer a Keurig maker AND a regular drip coffee maker, the best of both coffee worlds.

There is also a half bathroom on the main level. The master bedroom offers a king size bed with an En Suite full bathroom with a beautifully tiled glass enclosed shower. You will also have access to the covered deck. The master bedroom has a flat screen Roku TV.
The upper covered deck has plenty of seating, along with a table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee, snack or dinner.

Upper Level: The upper level features a loft with a desk and chair for those that may need to do a little work while on vacation. There is also a sofa to relax and maybe take a nap on as well. There are 2 queen bedrooms, each having Roku TV. A full bathroom is also located between the two bedrooms with a tub/shower combo.

Lower Level: The lower level features a very nice pool table, electric fireplace, Roku TV, full bathroom with tub/shower combo and the washer and dryer. You also have access to the lower deck from the game room to access the new 6 person hot tub.

Outside: Enjoy spending time around our beautiful fire pit (wood not provided), take in that fresh mountain air and listen to the sounds of nature. After a fun filled day of hiking, shopping, fishing, tubing, skiing, you'll be able to relax and soak your cares away in our new (2022) hot tub. Let those soothing jets take the stress away!

Location: Appalachian View is located in a premiere log cabin community called Big Tree with all paved access. The elevation is approximately 4,200' for those cool summer days. Since we are at a higher elevation, the roads do get slick and snow covered. We strongly recommend a 4x4 and tire chains if it does snow/ice. Our cabin is approximately 15 minutes from downtown West Jefferson, 35 minutes from Boone and 45 minutes from Blowing Rock.

Important Information: Appalachian View is located in a private community and guests are asked to be respectful of the neighborhood. Sound travels in the mountains, so please be mindful when enjoying our outdoor areas. There is a countywide noise ordinance in place after 10:00 PM.

***2 night minimum for off peak times
***3 night minimum for the summer months, MLK weekend, Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day weekend and the entire month of October
***4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday
***6 night minimum for the July 4th week and Christmas/New Year holidays

Important Notes:
***The cabin is access by some paved and steep graveled roads. However, the driveway around the cabin is paved. Front wheel drive vehicles shouldn't have any issues as long as there is no snow/ice.
***The owners use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home.
***There is no land-line phone in this cabin. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling.
***NO Smoking inside the cabin
***NO house parties

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
