Was not a fan at all of coming into VRBO kitchen to find green paint ring tape over areas.

First off if I rent a VRBO, you get the entire house. If the owner/company wants things for themselves. They need to lock them up. Very disheartening to walk into a nice kitchen to find 8 big strips of neon green painter tape over half the big cupboards in the kitchen. With sticky’s saying “Don’t go into these”Kind of tackles to be honest. It would be easy to install locks On those cupboards and then solution solved VS walking in to green painter tape in big strips over cupboards.Had a hard time getting owner/company to text us back on the VRBO App. We could not find any more garbage bags. And also two of the 4 bar stools were extreme loose. Two stools missing half the bolts to make the seat safe. My husband if it was not for his buddy walking behind him when he sat he would have fallen off and hit his on the wall. If this was bc a child it could have been very dangerous. It would have been nice when you text three times to get anyone to return our texts with our concerns.

Lovely Property Marred by Poor Property Management

The house itself was excellent, warm with lovely views over Wellington Harbour. The beds were comfortable - though several pillows are of foam rubber. BUT there were quite a few irritating problems that Bachcare & the Property Manager were loath to fix (& didn't). Bedroom drawers had rubbish in them, a couple of greasy cooking pans had to be scrubbed before they could be used, & despite a note instructing us to empty the drier lint tray after each cycle we found it was full on our arrival The 'official' internet didn't work; after 2 hours of trying we managed to set up a random, non secure one - bit dodgy. TV only worked if internet connected & not all TV channels advertised are actually available. One toilet bowl had a serious leak & the other a VERY wobbly seat. There was no plug for kitchen sink & no dishwasher tablets for dishwasher. Cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, cooking & serving vessels absolute minimum. Almost half the glasses and the only jug were cracked or chipped and one of the saucepans had no handle. Where basic items were provided they were the bare minimum too e.g 2 teaspoons of coffee, a couple of shakes of salt. Likewise there were no spare towels which made coping with leaking toilet bowl challenging. The only thing in abundance was toilet paper and tea towels. As we were vacating the owner's friend arrived & he indicated he would try to get the Property Manager to rectify these issues so the next people may have less stressful stay.

Nice house with commanding view of the harbour. Easy access to downtown and ferries. Well appointed and spacious. Beds were comfortable. We were accompanied by another couple (friends) for a 2-night stay. We were severely disappointed by a number of issues that were immediately evident upon our arrival. Those included the following: 1. Internet was included with our reservation, but there was no internet service. 2. Reservation included “cable TV”, but without internet, there was no TV. 3. There was no power to the wall outlets in the living room, master bedroom, and ensuite off the master bedroom. This suggested that one or more circuit breakers had tripped. Unfortunately we could not access the breaker box to reset the breakers. 4. None of the garbage cans in the house had been emptied. The garbage bin in the carport was overflowing and there were multiple large plastic bags of garbage there as well. 5. The floors had not been thoroughly vacuumed. 6. The dishwasher was partially full of foul smell As per owner instructions, we called “BachCare” shortly after arriving to get the internet working. We spent almost 1.5 hours on the phone but to no avail. Finally he told us that he would reach out to the property manager and I was told to expect a call back within 2 hours. That never happened. None of these issues were resolved during our stay. There was no offer to adjust our rent. We would not recommend this property because of unfulfilled expectations

Spacious rental close to downtown

This was a spacious rental that is not far from downtown Wellington. The bedrooms and bathrooms were large, and the kitchen was huge and fully stocked with supplies! There is a washer and dryer available for use onsite. You can see the water from the patio when it isn't raining. You can park in the driveway. Definitely recommended for a stay in Wellington!

Great spot

We booked to have some family time. The location is super only complaint was they did not have any knives for us to use to cut meat with. They also need to supply a plug for the sink. The beds are super comfy.
