Relax in the relative solitude and prevailing breezes of this magnificent, drive-up, 4-bedroom 2.5-bath home with floating dock in protected water for predictable boating access, safe swimming and water sports. The final approach to this property includes a two-hundred yard forested driveway revealing the renovated, 19th-century farmhouse with large bridge-view deck and screened-in porch. Deer and wild turkey frequently emerge on the expansive lawn. Dramatic views of freighters on their way to and from the Atlantic.

Large queen master suite downstairs opens to deck overlooking Brownā€™s Bay just off the American Narrows. Original upstairs queen master overlooking the river shares full bath with a third queen and fourth full bedroom. Small bonus room upstairs makes optional office, baby room, or extra sleeping for a teen. Breezy, screened in porch yields a bookworm simultaneous views of the bridge and landscaped lawn and wildlife. Updated kitchen with modern appliances.

We purchased this home in particular because of its prime location on Wellesley Island, its accessibility by car, its majestic views of the River (in particular the bridge and the freighters), and its relative seclusion compared to other properties in the area. Beautiful property with beautiful view

Fourth time staying at this property. Itā€™s a slice of heaven. Home is so well equipped and the location is perfect by boat. Alexandria Bay & Clayton are both very close by boat and car. The view of the 1000ā€™s bridge is spectacular from the property. Thank you for opening your home to our family.

Incredible Views

This is an awesome place to vacation. The house is quant and relaxing. Amazing large porch to enjoy the water and boat views, with comfortable chairs and table top fire pit. Outside side screened porch is beautiful and great place for dinner and relaxation. Close proximity to downtown Clayton. You will not be disappointed.

Fabulous family vacation

The home was particularly clean, well-stocked, and well-appointed! The amenities, screened porch, deck, dock, and open layout are wonderful for a family vacation. Especially enjoyed the quiet cove setting with views of the bridge and cargo ships. The kids loved playing ball in the yard and splashing in the water. (Swimming is an option but was still a little chilly). The host is always available for questions and concerns. Hope to return!

Beautiful home and property!!!

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful home last week. From the moment we arrived the property, we were impressed, not only by the well manicured property, but the cleanliness of the property and the home. The home's decor is very welcoming. We felt right at home. Our sons & grandson enjoyed fishing on the dock and mostly relaxing in the beautiful home and on the property. We do have one comment and one mishap. The comment is the home is a great place under normal circumstances where you wouldnā€™t need A.C., but when the air is still, as it was the last two days/nights, it was getting very warm in the house. The one mishap was I accidentally spilled Ā½ glass of Rose wine on the living room carpet. We tried to clean it the best we could, but please, if itā€™s not to the owner's satisfaction, we will be happy to reimburse him for the cleaning. It honestly doesnā€™t look bad, but the owner needs to be satisfied that it is clean enough. We loved renting this beautiful home and property on the St. Lawrence River. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for a memorable family vacation.

Amazing view, beautiful home.

This was our second stay at this property. It was just as wonderful as the first. The home is very comfortable. Plenty of room for our party of 8 and our pup. Love the huge front deck that overlooks Brown Bay. Beautiful view of the 1000 Island Bridge. We look forward to staying here in the future.

Amazing TI Vacation

My extended family and I stayed in this beautiful house for a week. Everything in the house was exactly as pictured and described. The location was even more beautiful than expected! Coffee on the deck was a wonderful way to start the day and a book on the screened-in porch was a relaxing way to end it. We can't wait to return next summer!

Another Great Stay!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it is stunning. The views of the water, bridge, ships and boats are spectacular. The house itself is very comfortable and clean and has everything you need from washer/dryer to dishwasher. The owner communicates quickly as well which is really nice. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to book again next August.

Vacation Perfection

We've been renting in the area for over 20 years and we are always looking for the same things - a great location with magnificent views, a spot to swim with clear waters, a functional dock for our boat and property, a little privacy and finally, a per-friendly location. This rental hits all the marks and then some. The house is spacious and beautiful, comfortably decorated. The photos DO NOT do it justice. The deck is the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails with plenty of comfortable seating. We loved the screened in porch for our BBQ's dinners. My sister-in-law is not outdoorsy and she loved the TV with Netflix, prime video, Hulu and more. The piece of property on the river is secluded. We never saw our neighbors. This is the home run of rentals - truly PERFECTION.

Plenty of space for our party of 8. All of the amenities of home. Amazing view of the 1000 islands bridge from the living room & deck. Beautiful grounds with 2 different areas with fire pits. This was a perfect location for our family. We hope to stay again.

Beautiful Home on the River!

We spent one week at this property and loved every moment. The house is beautiful, very comfortable and is as described in the overview. It accommodated our party of 6 and 2 dogs very well. The outdoor space is the best with all the porches, screened porch, yard and docks. We rented a boat and having a dock on the property was very convenient. The home owner was very gracious and checked in on us to make sure everything was as expected. We plan to go back!

Family getaway

Our family had a great 5 night stay at Michael and Laura's Brown's bay cottage. The house was clean and very well taken care of. We especially enjoyed the option of entertaining on the deck or the screened in porch with an amazing view of the TI Bridge and the main shipping channel of the St. Lawrence river. We leave been renting in the Clayton/Alex bay area for many years and this cottage is easily our favorite!

Wonderful house on the river

Our family has spent a lot of time up on the St. Lawrence River and this property has to be one of our favorite locations so far. It was our first time staying on Wellesley Island and hopefully not the last. The house was very clean & updated, with all the amenities we needed for the week. The yard was large and private. The fact that it was pet friendly was a definite plus for us as our daughter's German Shepherd had just as much fun as we did. Would not think twice about renting here again.
