"This was my first VRBO experience and I loved how easy it was. The cottage is rustic and simple but that’s exactly what I was looking for. I ended up not making it to the winery, but it was an easy drive into Colonial Beach and over to George Washington’s birthplace. And a cozy place to curl up and read during the afternoon thunderstorm!"

"So grateful to have a vrbo where our two 50 lb dogs are welcome. The new home being built next door is beautiful to watch them finish but to see the river we only had to turn left out of the driveway and walk around the corner to see it or go outside the master bedroom to the end of the deck and we could see a slice of it. The owner responds well. It is quiet; there are basic provisions and the a/c works great! The beds were also very comfortable!!"

"Enjoyed our visit to Colonial Beach. Rented a golf cart for getting around town; highly recommend this method of transportation. Lovely view from the condo and easy access to the boardwalk, restaurants and bars.However, plan accordingly for the late-night, weekend live music next door at Tiki Hut.Spent an afternoon at the pool, which is not on-site. But with the golf cart, it was an easy, short commute."

"Charming cottage with updated decor. The host was very comucative during a power outage due to storms. The kitchen was nicly stocked with snacks and drinks. The pool was nice, but the backyard was not very usable due to some leftovers from repair work taking up the grassy area."

"House was very nice and very private. The location is tucked away from Colonial Beach, but just a short drive away for a visit. The kayaks and the water were a favorite for my kids. The kitchen was FULLY stocked with all of the tools we needed and that was a very nice touch. It was easy to get settled and provided plenty of space for our family."

"We arrived promptly at 4PM, the check in time to find 3 foot of snow piled up all along the road, the entire parking area, drive way covered in snow and ice. We were in town to do some work for my niece so we had a few supplies on my van. My husband had to pick axe an area large enough for my van, we were then able to reverse in and leave my front tires almost in the street. Then we started making trips with our luggage, stuff for the kitchen etc across the snow and ice to the front door. ...
