Phenomenal getaway
LOVED this property for a getaway. Quaint town and within walking distance of a spring. So so cool. Absolutely phenomenal communication with the host. Super cool extras to help make the stay even MORE enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again!

Adorable Home
We have stayed here before when visiting the area and will hopefully be able to stay here again when in the area. It is a well maintained older home with tons of character. It is conveniently located not just to the events we attend in the area, but also to the river. Comfortable beds that fit our needs.

Home Away From Home.
We were five, ages 16 - 67. It’s an understatement to say the room layout is fabulous for a family. Beautiful inside on top of functional. Great assortment of entertainment provided as well. Looking forward to returning!

St. John’s Fishing
Great location for fishing the St. John’s due to central location with many access points. The property is very well maintained. The host was pleasant to work with and very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Charming home
A beautiful cozy home that was perfect for our family stay. The yard had a nice fire pit to gather around, our kids loved the game room! The entire place was wonderful, we will definitely be back in the future.

Perfect in every way!
This perfect little spot set the bar for the kids above all the other places we’ve stay. They didn’t want to leave. I will be booking here multiple times. It’s the best spot in Welaka!

Charming cottage
This house is better than described. It has the charm of an older home with modern amenities. Has enough room to sleep 5 comfortably. We needed to be in the area and it could not have been closer to our event! Very easy to understand instructions for check in and check out. The host was easy to get in touch with and went above and beyond to make our stay a fantastic experience. If we need to be in the area again - this will be our "go to" place to stay.

Loved it
My family spends a lot of time in Welaka as we have plenty of friends and family that live or vacation there. We loved this rental from location to parking. My wife really enjoyed the decor and the welcome sign was a nice touch. We would definitely use this rental in the future.

Best family get together in a long time
Welax Inn was absolutely perfect for a family gathering. Family came from crescent city, Daytona , bushnell and Tampa to meet with us. We hadn’t all been together in years. Thanks again for such an inviting place. We will do it again. We all loved it

Fun and Compassionate owners!
Christy and Jayce did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and safe by reinforcing railing and installing safety handles in the bathroom, and wonderful communicators. I had a Total Lateral Knee Replacement done in FL and stayed for two weeks afterwards for Physical Therapy. The community is very small but mighty friendly. Christy made sure that we knew all the cool places to eat, things to see, like the wild peacocks, and we even did some other birding, thanks to Tony from Fish and Wildlife Services!! The owners would check up on me (us) every now and then to make sure things were good. I believe my friends and I certainly made new friend in Welaka! Thank you Christy and Jayce!

We were visiting family over Easter and stayed that this house. It's clean and comfortable. The hosts even provided water and snacks. The check in process was easy. There is a small game room which was nice to have.

Hidden Gem Part 1
I initially booked for a 1 night on the VRBO App but then soon after wife informed me that I would need more days. I added the extra days by booking on the app. The owners realized that we had 2 scheduled times and removed the 2nd cleaning fee. I highly appreciate this since I never asked but they where highly thoughtful. On a side note being there for Christmas it was very convenient to cook the 18 lb Turkey in the oven at this location. I would like to stay during warmer temperatures but at least it’s safe to say at Florida’s coldest temperatures you be cozy at the Welax-Inn.

Beautiful Stay
Lovely accommodations, roomy, we had a lot of fun in game room, lots of board games and toys for entertainment. Near beautiful hiking trails, restaurants and state forest. Would go back in a heartbeat

Tons of character. An older home in a very unique location. Was this an old one room school house?? Customized message when we came in, attention to detail with snacks, etc. Thank you very much. Great place to hang our hat during our fishing tournament and practice on the river!

Adorable old style Florida home
This is a sweet and comfortable old home cute as a button. It is quite large and spacious,comfortable beds.,full kitchen and delightful front porch. Right in the heart of town you can walk to the local Pub or the river. We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly come back.

Say “Goodbye 2 Screen-time!” Game room & patio have AC! Perfect to really bond on vacation!
I could tell the owners like to travel because they thought of everything! My daughter never asked for screen time! Fishing poles (I left extra tackle buy bait shop is right next door as well) Even golf clubs! In FL Having 2 patio like rooms with AC for the pin ball , darts, Air Hockey, puzzles, cards and everything is all we could ask for! Restaurant across the street we even went to the sweet church service next door. The yard is amazing and the wildlife is beautiful! Extra pillows, blankets and an entire room for folding laundry inside.

Beautiful Home in a quiet area. Photos don’t do it justice.
This home is beautiful. Perfect for a family trip. Close to the springs, Lake George, and some amazing food! Check in was extremely easy and as soon as you open the front door, you are immersed in charm and every little detail in this sweet home. It is well cared for and well loved. We will definitely be back.

Great weekend getaway
We visit welaka periodically and it's hard to find a decent place to stay because of limited availability in the area. This was so fresh and new for us. Communication was amazing, check in so easy. The house was clean and location was perfect for us. Didn't have any issues with outside activity for our weekend. I promise I will definitely staying here again.

I am so impressed with the hostess, Christy. Very good communicator, friendly and kind.
This property was for only one night as I continued on my travels. I felt immediately safe being alone. The house was clean and well decorated. Bed was so comfortable! Kitchen full and complete. Close to many good places to eat and so close to the beautiful St. John's River. Enjoyed my short stay. Thank You.

Daytona 500
We stayed here for half a week while we went to the Daytona 500. It made an excellent, affordable spot to stay and provided an easy back way in to Daytona, avoiding a lot of traffic. Christy was very attentive and gave us a number of great suggestions for restaurants and places of interest. Our only complaint would be the close proximity of the house/bedroom to the local biker bar just a stones throw across the street. We can’t party like we used to and typically retire earlier (prior to 2am), so the rolling thunder after last call, especially on Friday/Saturday night was fairly disruptive. We came for the drag racing on the track, not in the front yard =)
