My two sons and I stayed at the home for a week. I flew to Germany from Hawaii to visit my son who is in the Air Force and stationed at Ramstein Air Base. The home is about a 15 minute drive from the base. It’s in a nice quiet upper middle class suburban neighborhood. The homeowner lives in the downstairs of the home, so she is on property. There is a common main entry and the rental property is upstairs. The homeowner has a locked door to her part of the house and the door to the upstairs part of the home locks, so it seems like you are in a separate home. My son was able to park his car in the driveway. The home is exactly as pictured. It served as a good home base for us to hang out and spend time with my son. On the days that he had to work my other son and I took the city bus from the house to explore Kaiserslautern. The bus stop was a 10 minute walk from the house, but it was a nice walk through the neighborhood. (Bus fare is 6 euros per person). My older son also went for an early morning walk one day from the house into the countryside. (Our sleep schedule was so thrown off from jet lag!). He said it was a quiet relaxing walk. We used the kitchen to cook once (wanted to cook my son at least one home cooked meal since he’s been away). Kitchen was adequate as there is a stove and oven. There is a washing machine in the bathroom but we did not use it (washed clothes on base instead). Would definitely stay here again!
