Sunset on the beach at Sea Palling, looking towards Happisburgh lighthouse in the distance. Taken June 2017. Beach can be acceded from car park and from pathways over the dunes. Beach still accessible at high tide, but best visited when tide is retreating. Nice cafe and fish and chips nearby. Public toilets near the car park. We did sea a common seal offshore and starfishes at low tide in the rock pools.

Entrance to the Hall. Waxham Hall is a 12th century manor which by the 16th century was owned by the Calthorpe family and later by the Wodehouses, who built the Hall and its enclosure, presumably before the death of Sir Thomas in 1571. The house was surrounded by a high wall entered through gateways - with tracery in the spandrels > 995305 - which originally extended outwards to include the church. The enclosing wall has polygonal angle buttress shafts which are crowned by finials. (N. Pevsner & B. Wilson, The Buildings of England, Norfolk 1, 2002)

Arriving at Sprowston Hall it was impressive. However, Room was tucked up a lot of stairs (not told of this at reception) Bed was very uncomfortable, duvet was too small for a double bed - with 2 people in, only 2 pillows (which werent comfortable) - no spare.
