Welcome to Emerald Point on the Mount Morris chain of lakes! This beautiful custom built home includes 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths with level lake frontage on 3 sides of the property. Lake views from every room! A chef's kitchen, with granite countertops, 5 burner gas stove, and other high-end appliances, has all of the kitchen basics to comfortably cook and dine during your stay. High speed internet, Netflix, and other modern amenities give the convenience of home with the relaxation of lake life.

*Summer Activities *
Lake Morris is steps from the backyard, ready for you to enjoy swimming, fishing, and boating in the full recreation areas. The main house pier on Lake Morris has a shallow entry shoreline located in the no-wake area of the lake that is for great swimming. Two kayaks, 1 stand up paddle board, pedal boat, lake raft, and life jackets are available on site for renter use to get out on the water. Paddle through the adjacent water channel (under the pedestrian footbridge) to Emerald Lake and enjoy a serene ride on the quiet, no-wake lake. Inquire about our pontoon rental for even more lake activities during your stay! Additional kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and boat rentals are available down the road at the Mt Morris Mill. A private neighborhood sandy beach is a short 3-minute walk over the pedestrian footbridge for even more lake fun options.

The Mt Morris lakes are a five-lake chain covering 172 acres of water. The five lakes are known from north to south as Lake Alsfon (A), Lake Russel (B), Lake Hannah (C), Lake Morris (D), and Emerald Lake (E), accessed by a channel under the foot bridge. We're located at the peninsula of Lake Morris and Emerald Lake with access to both lakes! There is a conveniently located public boat launch on Lake Morris at the Mt Morris Town Park and Boat Landing near the house. The park hosts a playground, volleyball courts, and shelter for gathering.

Go check out the nearby Trading Post which hosts live music and serves excellent fish fries and homemade pizza. If supper clubs are your style, the Silvercryst Supper Club in Wautoma is must. Bohn Lake Ice Age Trail parking 20 minutes away for summer and winter exploration. In the summertime Nordic Mountain offers FREE biking trails that cover 104 acres. Nearby golf courses include Waushara Country Club and Two Oaks North Golf Club. Lawsonia Golf Course 40 minutes away. Sand Valley Golf Resort 50 minutes away.

Grocery stores and shopping within 10 minutes in Wautoma.

Peak Season: Memorial Day - Labor Day
Off-Season: After Labor Day and Before Memorial Day, three night minimum rental
Cleaning fee and security deposit required.

Cameras: We have a front doorbell camera and an outdoor, outward-facing camera at the back of the house to keep an eye on our dock during storms and events. There are no indoor cameras or voice command units (i.e. Alexa). There are Wi-Fi extenders throughout the house to stretch the signal to the outdoor areas.

Policies:
- no smoking/vaping (subject to fine of the entire damage deposit amount if smoke smell found present in the house during cleaning)
- must be 25 years old to rent
- no events, parties or large gatherings
- 4 vehicles maximum can be parked in private driveway, no street parking available. Inquire if additional parking space is needed.

* Winter Activities* There are several things to do during the winter months to keep you busy. Once the lake freezes over bring your ice fishing gear and walk outside to Lake Morris or Emerald Lake to set the tip ups. Bring your cross country skis or snow shoes to explore the frozen chain of lakes. Check out Nordic Mountain Ski Hill (https://www.nordicmountain.com/ ) for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing for all ages just 5 minutes down the road from the house. Ski rentals are available at the hill. The mountain hosts events and other activities throughout the season, check out their Events Calendar. Our small garage off the driveway offers a safe space out of the elements for skis and winter gear storage.

Snowmobile trails are located nearby with access directly on State Highway 152, just a quarter mile down Emerald Lane. Waushara County also offers many snowmobile and snow shoe trails (www.co.waushara.wi.us) to explore. Ask us about trailer storage during your stay, if needed.

Great beach house!

We loved this beach house. There were 9 of us spanning 3 generations and felt like we had plenty of room. The kitchen was the best stocked that we have ever seen in a rental. Any small appliance that you may want was provided and several spices. Lots of Kleenex provided. Bring body soap and laundry stuff and you are set. We did bring and use extra toilet paper and towel paper. The water was a little weedy but not enough to keep us out. Had fun with water trampoline, kayaks, paddle board and paddle boat. We rented the pontoon boat for the week and used it every dayā€¦just wish the fish were biting! We watched quite a fireworks show on the 4th from surrounding homes. I would highly recommend this place. Owners very communicative.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We had a wonderful, family-filled week at this cozy and well-organized cabin. The home was very clean and easy to settle into. We rented the pontoon through the owners, although it arrived a bit late, they were extremely responsive, kept us well-informed, and kindly offered a partial refund.The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed (and more!) which made cooking meals at home simple and convenient.The bedrooms were spacious, and the kids loved the bunk room. We really appreciated the thoughtful baby gear (pack and play, monitor, sound machine, and highchair), which made traveling with little ones much easier.We enjoyed all the amenities: the screened-in porch, fire pit, kayaks, paddle board, paddle boat, trampoline, and dock. Being right on the lake with easy access to the water was perfect for swimming and playing. We spent the week boating, fishing, and relaxing by this quiet, peaceful lake.

Beautiful Location

We had 4 adults & 9 kids (2 families) to stay at this house. We really enjoyed the beautiful location being on the end of a peninsula and having water on 3 sides. We visited in fall and the weather was wonderful so we were able to enjoy the kayaks and paddle boats, fishing, and a fire. The hosts were very easy to communicate with.

All was perfect but not wheelchair easy.Steps at front door and to go to porch and out. But we did it, Master bathroom hard with wheelchair. Also wish iG!Gt had a door or curtain. O therwise EXCELLENT!! tHE LAKE WERE AMAZING! Everyone but my husband and I swam distances, kayaked.paddle boarded.. We all enjoyed the pontoon boat. Great! Best Summer Family Vacation

Our party of ten headed to this beautiful gem on the chain of lakes in Mt. Morris. We had an incredible week and throughly enjoyed our time on the lake. Canā€™t say enough good things about this house, yard and lake. House decor was very nice, kitchen very well stocked and beds/furniture very comfortable. Our family of 12 ranged in age from 11 months to 65 yrs. We all had a wonderful time and Sarah was very easy to work with. The coffee drinkers loved morning walks to the nearby coffee shop, too. This house was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the boat we rented as part of our stay. The ā€˜walk inā€™ access to the water was great for our dog. My kids fished and fished and fished! It is a very unique property with water on three sides. There are great water views from practically every window!

Had an amazing, beautiful and peaceful time. The home was very welcoming and everything you might think you need was already pleasantly provided. The Kitchen area was a chefā€™s dream and the outside area was beautifully kept. We came together in memory of the passing of my husband and Father to my grown children. His lifetime joy was getting away with family and we definitely felt his joyful presence amongst us. This home is a 10+ in ranking and hope to come back again.

Enjoyed this lakefront home

We enjoyed our stay at this lakefront home. A view of lakes out every window and quiet lakes, very relaxing. We made use of the kayaks and rented the pontoon boat which was fun. The home is updated, had everything we needed, and was very clean. The host was easy to communicate with. We would stay again.

Fantastic Vacation Spot

We had an amazing time at this beautiful cabin on the lake!!! The cabin had plenty of space for our whole family and an incredibly well supplied kitchen which really mattered to us as our family loves to cook. The screened in porch added an extra room for one group to play one game and another group in the kitchen. We could all gather around the kitchen island for conversation and games. The outdoor area is splendid as well. Lovely fire pit and really nice dock with easy access to swim in the lake. The neighbors were all friendly and it was pretty private as it is on the peninsula. The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. We felt very welcomed and the hosts were easy to contact. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect luxury lake house week

This was a perfect lake house for our friends group of 8 adults. Only 2+ hrs from Mke, but felt like we were far up north. The house was so very clean and well equipped with anything you would need. The location was perfect - nice boating lake, great for kayaking, beautiful sunsets, nice breeze off the water, screened in porch was just right for dining, side yard for a game of bags, etcā€¦ Excellent communication with the owner. Weā€™ll definitely be back.

Exceptional Lake House Vacation

The house and property was beautiful and the owners thought of everything. We had three generations of family on our week long vacation. The grandkids/cousins loved the bunk bed room that had space for all of them to hang out together. Grandpa stayed busy assisting the kids fishing off the dock with baiting the hooks. The kids loved the sandy beach & swimming area located over the bridge. Everyone, including the dog, loved touring the area on the pontoon boat. The kitchen had everything we needed for making every meal together. There was lots of laughter in the evenings playing dominoes, cards, and cribbage in the screen porch area while the adults relaxed with drinks. The bedrooms were comfortable, homey, and provided enough space of everyone to thoroughly enjoy their stay. Just what we needed!

This property is so nice for so many reasons. Sarah the host is very communicative, helpful, and pleasant. The property itself is beautiful and has so many small details that just make it over the top. The kitchen is fully ready for any type of cooking (including crockpot, dutch oven, wonderful cutlery, etc.). We made all our meals in the kitchen comfortably and really enjoyed it. In addition, there are many small details like motion-activated night lights in the hallways, automatic surround sound, thermostat on 1st and 2nd floors, bluetooth speakers in the bedrooms, and many other items. We didn't use everything, but took note of the attention to detail and preparedness (2nd small frig for drinks, first aid kits, towels, extra blankets, etc...). We stayed with family and our kids along with 2 dogs and had a blast. We were curious how it would be (we stayed in February), but the access to the property was very easy, its nice and close to Nordic which our kids loved, and the fishing was great. There is a small (~15 acre lake) out the front door and a much larger set of 4 small lakes (~125 acres in total) out the back door. We didn't use the firepit or other outdoor amenities as it was winter, but I can only imagine how nice a stay would be in the summer. We enjoyed our time from the moment we arrived and can't wait to go back!

Great location for outdoor activities near Nordic Mountain

The home was clean, nicely decorated and exactly as listed. The kitchen was nicely furnished with all items to cook - we ate all meals there without an issue. We had a toddler with us and the home has toys and kids items like glasses, silverware. Beds are comfortable and the heating system worked without issue. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, and a 5 minute drive from Nordic Mountain. My husband enjoyed ice fishing on the lakes on either side of the home. The hosts are responsive and helpful. Overall a positive and easy rental experience. Definitely will stay here again if we are in the area!
