"We were on our honeymoon and had been staying in very luxury places but we fancied something different for a couple of days which would be an experience that we would remember. To get to the resort you have to get a 4x4 ride which is very bumpy (but you are going into the jungle so what do you expect!). After about 20 mins you make it to near the bottom of the valley. "Stunning views, especially of the waterfall. Spacious and clean room. Our balcony was extra large! They served a very delicious breakfast for a good price. We actually enjoyed it more than when we ate in town. The internet was a problem though, it did not work or was so slow it was unusable, but thankfully we had a hot spot to take video calls for work. Would definitely recommend as long as you don’t need internet. "

"The view was amazing at Belmont it was absolutely breath taking and the rooms and washrooms were very clean. The breakfast was good as well. The only caution to look out for it there’s bugs that come in the room at night through the door to the balcony if there’s so hidden spaces, but if u stuff a bag or something in those spaces it should be okay. "Great location, right next to the Main Street where all the restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is more of a guest house. Rooms are very basic - but very large. Can easily accommodate 4 people. Breakfast is either sri-lanken or western, they are very generous with the quantities. If you are looking for a 4/5 star hotel - it’s not the place for you. It is a low budget option for families who prefer that kind of experience. We enjoyed :)"

"Ella is a dream and this property was so nice! The whole ambiance is beautiful and calming. They even have a garden on the premises. Our room has a magnificent view great for watching the sunrise. I opted to watch from outside near the garden. It was so magical to watch the Sun rise while listening to the birds serenade in the background and faint Buddhist chants growing gradually louder as the Sun came up! I highly recommend this property for your stay in Ella and wish we could have stayed...
