"The property has some safety issues that need to be addressed. Master bed was comfortable. Didn’t sit outside as there were too many bugs. The host was communicative prior to arrival. "

"My kids, grandkids ages 8-17 stayed for 4 days in December. It was nice that the house was decorated. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table. We visited the Farnsworth House nearby which was really interesting!"

"We needed to book at trip at the last minute (2 days before, with dogs) and was very happy to find this available! The unit was just as expected and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. The location is walking distance to downtown Yorkeville (great food/bars, walking, etc) but also a park 2 blocks in the other direction so the dogs were very happy. Although we didn't use it, there was a garage we could have parked in. Check in went smoothly and communication with the Owner was easy. Check...

"Communication with the host was excellent; they accommodated an unexpected change in plans and were very responsive. Most of my purpose in coming was to cook for my stressed out college student, and the kitchen was reasonably well-equipped with pots, pans, utensils and dishes. There’s a full spice rack, too. There are two Roku TVs and the Internet was adequate as well. "

"We should have listened to the other reviews on this place, but unfortunately there wasn't much in the area to choose from. From the moment we walked in it smelled terrible, almost like a skunk smell. Obviously it's right on the Fox River so there's going to be bugs but a lot of the windows especially upstairs are not sealed right and in one of the bedrooms there were a ton of mosquitoes and other bugs all over the ceiling. "Cute older home. New furniture and bedding. The home is older but is clean and spacious. Carpet is a little stained but there is a sign asking for no shoes on carpet so I feel like they are trying to keep it. Anything we messaged the host about they were prompt on replying. The parking is not for larger vehicles, it’s a narrow entry to the parking area. Very quiet little neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. "

"It’s super close to downtown Yorkville!! So in the months with better weather it would be perfect to stay and walk to the few restaurants downtown and little shops and the river area. "So much attention to detail with amenities and instructions at this property. Everything was well thought out to make our stay enjoyable and easy. Very clean and check in/out were easy!"

"This space was excellent for all of our needs and more! We have family in the area and we were able to just walk everywhere needed. Excellent restaurant across the street. We have walked by this space countless times in the past when we lived downtown and never knew about it. The train that goes by is loud like a train should be but just added to the charm of the area cant say enough great things about it. Cant wait till our next stay!"
