"I felt the unique warmth and simple beauty of the Laotian heart in everything—from Puna’s charming smile at the airport, to Vanh’s warm welcome, the simple and warm smiles of the staff, and the owner’s flexibility during my extended stay. Above all, there was a sense of family and connection among themselves, and this heartwarming atmosphere made my stay at Thongbay Guesthouse comfortable. Thongbay Guesthouse itself is imbued with the distinctive beauty of Laos, featuring rooms and buildings...

"I loved it! I found it during a morning walk and booked two nights. I then went to Vang Vieng for a few nights and came back to Luang Prabang for a second stay at this nice place. I would stay here every time. Be and Nith were great, bfast was good and healthy. Walkable and super quiet area close to everything. Thank you so much!"

"Friendly staff. Room was clean and cool AC."

"Lovely decor. A bit far from downtown. Great options at the restaurant. "

"In general we did really enjoyed our stay, staff is super helpful and location is good. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast area is really pleasant. We were not very lucky with our room, which was a bit loud at night sometimes but we got the impression that it was probably the only one with this problem ( and was the only one available so we didn't complain) and it was not too bothering"

"Everything was perfect great place to stay."

"The Belmond Phou Vao is a good hotel in Luang Prabang. The best thing about it is the service. We were very well taken care of by the whole staff, in particular Cathy - at the front office/guest relations. They were super nice and helpful. The hotel also offers many different activities and the ones we were able to participate in were really well planned and executed to perfection! The food is very good and the head chef and executive chef are really nice, going up to the table to talk to us!...
