Tiny House / Log Cabin in beautiful wooded urban setting

What started out as a project to make use of leftover logs from our log home turned into a tiny house! Cozy Log Cabin looking out on almost an acre of nature but just minutes from all the DC sites. Perfect for a single escape, a romantic getaway, a small family/group gathering, or a serene remote work location. 1/4 mile to bus and 1.5 miles to DC metro, plenty of free parking. We live in a log home next door - so happy to provide advice on sites/restaurants and directions. NO SMOKING of any kind.Renters will be assessed the cost of deep cleaning and repairs to property damage caused by smoking or vaping, and NO (pets, and parties allowed)-Only registered guests will stay.

The property is on .91 acres of land full of trees, creeks, deer, an occasional fox, and lots of birds - yet just 15 minute drive to DC and close to all the amenities, shopping, restaurants, movies, mini-golf, and of course the Nation's Capital!

Check-in: pull into the gravel driveway to the right of the main log home; door will be open; keys on the dining table. Please send us a note when you check in and when you check out. Also, if you are going to use the pull-out sofa, please select extra person - this will cover the extra cleaning cost. Thank you!

We had a great stay. There were 3 adults and we were comfortable for the one night we stayed. The cabin is located in a very quiet, safe area. We didn't have much communication with the host but what I did have was nice. It was a very clean place.

Cosy cabin that really suited our needs. We were in town for two days to visit relatives. It was ideally located for trips into DC and to our favorite restaurants in Falls Church. Easy communication with hosts, and such a beautiful spot. It really is a charming place. I just wish the weather had been better so we could have enjoyed the deck. Will definitely stay there again.

For being in the middle of suburbia, the back porch of this tiny cabin made you feel like you are in the middle of the woods. Very peaceful. Convenient to restaurants and shopping.

Too tight for 4 people

This is a nice property, but having 4 people is too tight. If I was a group of 2 this property would be much better.The off street parking was very nice.The location to the capital was very good.The host took our garbage mid week, so that was very nice.The pull out bed is very old, very uncomfortable and very loud when anyone moved during the night. When the pull out bed is out, you cannot move at all in the lower level of the property.There were a lot of ants in the kitchen shower area. After the stay, the owner billed us for the towels blaming us for discoloring the towels. If was an inconvenience to have the shower over the toilet. After someone showered, they would have to use the toilet in a wet floor.

Wonderful and Cozy Cabin

The cabin was the perfect little tiny home for a cozy stay. The creative ways the use space to provide all typical amenities was really impressive. Everything was clean, fresh, and well kept. I would’ve loved to use the outdoor patio but I was visiting from California and was not used to the East coast summer weather Tommy was a very communicative host and the instructions for the home were very clear. 10/10 would stay again!

Beautiful, worth it, book now! But read the fine print...

This place is amazing. We stayed for 4 nights and got to experience perfect spring weather with beautiful skies and relaxation, along with a thunderstorm with lightning and rain. It was wonderful. The house is small, understand that, but the secluded feel and back deck are worth it. And the location is great.WE WOULD STAY AGAIN.The fine print... the upstairs bed is a full size, which I didn't realize... I may not have booked because of this, but I'm glad we stayed nonetheless and I would stay again.It takes a couple of days to figure out where to keep things, how to navigate around the space, and how to live in a tiny house, but once you get the hang of it it's great! NOTE: the steps from the parking to the house are not the easiest, they are stepping stones that are spaced non uniformly, so it's a journey at night or during rain. Just FYI.ALSO, once again the bed is a full size, and it's in the loft so it's a snug fit up there. But the feeling of being in a forest on the back deck makes up for these things and then some. What a unique little house to call home while visiting this area. Well worth it!

A Cozy Place to Stay in Falls Church

I greatly enjoyed my stay here. My girlfriend and I celebrated our anniversary and this was a perfect setting. The location is ideal for taking the metro to Washington and is also close to many other attractions such as Great Falls Park and the Pentagon City Mall. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this cozy tiny cabin.
