Historic NW DC Rowhome + Hot Tub 5 bed/3.5 bath

Our classic Wardman-style DC Rowhome is located in the vibrant Petworth neighborhood of Washington, DC and serves as the perfect jumping point for exploring the city. We are a quick 9 minute walk to the metro (93 walk score) and have tons of bus, bike, street parking, and uber/lyft options readily available.

NOTE: Absolutely NO parties or events are permitted in this space.

Over the last several years, we have lovingly restored this 100+ year old home. With many original features still in tact (transom windows, skylights, custom doorways and window frames, original door handles, etc.) we hope you enjoy its timelessness and character as much as we do, and give it as much care as we have!

Come and go easily using our private entrances along with a fully automated check-in process.

THE SPACE:
In the basement you will find two bedrooms; one is furnished with a queen bed and the other with twin bunks. There is a living room area equipped with TV and futon, a newly renovated bathroom with full sized washer/dryer set, a separate workspace with desk and chair, and kitchenette (mini fridge, coffee maker, sink, and microwave) for small meal prep/coffee making!

On the main level of the home you will find a spacious and welcoming living room, dining area, sunroom, half bath, and full kitchen - perfect for relaxing with loved ones after a long day of sightseeing! The kitchen is equipped with a full sized fridge/freezer, gas stove, gas oven, microwave, coffee maker, and dishwasher. The sunroom has a futon and air mattress for extra sleeping space!

Upstairs you will find 3 full bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a king bed and walk-in closet, as well as an en suite full bathroom equipped with a shower, double sinks, and soaking tub (original to the home!). The second and third bedrooms have queen sized beds and share a jack-and-jill bathroom. One of the rooms has a small office off of it for those that need to get some work done, as well. The other, a cozy chair for reading that expands for additional sleeping space if needed.

Fresh towels and bed linens will always be provided, as will basic soaps, shampoo, and conditioner.

OUTSIDE:
Enjoy the front porch furnished with rocking chairs! Off the back of the house, you will find a nice deck that leads down to a fully enclosed, private backyard. There is an additional patio space on the yard level and a secluded and private 4-6 person HOT TUB available for use under the deck!

PARKING:
While we do not have private parking on site, street parking is free and readily available.

HOUSE RULES:
1. Absolutely NO parties or events are permitted in this space. Please be respectful of our neighbors; no loud noises between 10pm and 8am.
2. To reiterate, Quiet Hours are from 10pm to 8am every day of the week.
3. No additional guests (anyone not listed on the reservation and included in the total guest count) unless otherwise communicated and agreed on. If this rule is violated and more guests are present on the property without the host’s knowledge and permission, a fee of $25 per person per day will be assessed. This rule is meant to prevent any dishonest behavior by all parties, to prevent any extra wear and tear on the property, and most importantly, to keep everyone safe.
4. No smoking on premises of any kind (vaping included). While DC has legalized marijuana, we are NOT a 420 friendly space and do not permit its use in our home or property, including smoking outside. Smoking in the home will result in a $500 fee.
5. If staying with a pet, there will be a pet fee ($75). Please give advance notice with description of pet. No cats allowed!
6. Hot tub is available for use but safety rules must be followed:
★ Keep hot tub covered when not in use
★ Do NOT allow children to use the hot tub unsupervised
★ No more than 4-6 people in the hot tub at a time.
★ Owners are not liable for any damage or injuries

Other things to note
To reiterate, this home is over 100 years old and has been carefully restored over the last several years. We have central air and heat, new hardwood floors, and all of the necessities of a modern home! But, we have chosen to keep several original features that we hope you enjoy, appreciate, and care for like the transom windows, skylights, and several original doors and window frames.
