"The host was super communicative, thorough and helpful! Check in process was smooth and the space is large, family-friendly with lots of options for sleeping with bunkbeds. It was too cold to hang out outside, but there was a playground and ample outdoor space for the kids to run around. There was also a bunch of toys in the finished basement, which was a nice touch. The kitchen was fully outfitted with utensils and dishes, just bring your own coffee! We would definitely book again!"

"In August 2025 we had the perfect family vacation at the River House. My family of 9, ranging in age from 9 to 77, spent 5 nights in Joan’s beautiful house. I am in a wheelchair and have never stayed at a more handicapped accessible rental. "Clean, comfortable, quiet, well-maintained. Just what we were looking for. We really enjoyed our stay. Only off-putting part was reading the rental agreement beforehand -- only one roll of toilet paper to be supplied per bathroom, all sorts of possible extra charges for not wiping down the stove, not putting away the dishes, keeping the thermostat too high or too low. Maybe the host has gotten burned before? But no charges were incurred & since we were there only 3 nights, we had plenty of...
